He didnt have to work hard or put in the time to think up the characters then go direct a whole film. All he had to do is show up because he is white making a film about slavery. 2 yrs from now Ill be on that stage winning an Oscar about my movie, which is about how bad the USA is and how great black people are...........easy isnt it?

I find Django Unchained Tarantino's current true masterpiece; WWII is kinda over done, but the Western that involves the history of African American slavery, with an African American character that serves to empower many African Americans is a serious thing. And it was pulled off so epically.

I don't expect Tarantino's movies to EVER win best picture...because the academy, well they're still stuck in the 1900s. Proof is that Pulp Fiction only won, one award. But god damn....I still think Tarantino is the most original, and probably the best director ever.
@Qwobble10 жыл бұрын
It definitely got the award it needed though. 1994 saw the release of some of the best modern films ever so it must have been so tough to allocate awards. I couldn't argue with Hank's best actor win for Forrest Gump, for example, but yes, Pulp Fiction is a film that deserves evermore credit as one of the best films of all time.

Most Original? When it comes to uniqueness and originality, wes anderson stomps every director that has ever existed, yes even spielberg and scorsese , his style is unbelievable , every shot feels like a picture, goodness let alone the stories and the quality of his films , moonrise kingdoom and the grand budapest hotel will probably go down in history as the most masterfully crafted and shot movies PERIOD, not to take from tarantino the man is a fucking legend as well , but man wes is just otherworldly

The Hurt Locker is a character study of trust and recklessness. Is it an accurate film? Ha. No. But you're really missing the point. The Social Network is also an over-dramatized and inaccurate film. Does that movie suck? No. If you want to bash it, that's awesome, but don't make bullshit assumptions. And don't, EVER, jump on the Hurt Locker hating bandwagon, and any other controversial movie, without seeing it because I know for sure that a lot of people love doing that.
