The 8K quality is for the benefit of immersive videos, that display in 180º or 360° around you. And I believe it is only supported on quest 3.

Considering some people in VRChat, especially from VRChat BioSensing Discord are using non-invasive BCI devices like EEG, EMG, etc to be able to get a general idea of what is going on in the brain and mapping it to control parts of their avatars, like ears or tails. It is pretty cool and something I love to see improve. Maybe we will eventually figure out how to use VR without having to move out physical body at all. To be able to feel it however would require input from a BCI or some kind of suit to stimulate you, which is also an option. But either way this is pretty exciting stuff for those of us who can't actually explore the real world and VR is the only way to do so.

I just want an update for Robo Recall Unplugged already, the port was made for the OG Quest and it really shows, there's no reason they couldn't have the same or very similar graphical fidelity to the PCVR version on the Quest 3 already.

Can you make a video testing Quest 3 headset using controllers from the Quest Pro. Is it worth the cost to upgrade?

Honestly it's not worth the upgrade, mostly depending on use, but using it for general applications the only thing you'll notice is the extra weight. I actually found the tracking of the quest 3 controllers superior which I know shouldn't make sense but that's just from using both

I got my Quest 3 and saw it have problem with screens (mostly left fro me) is getting darker when you torn your head, Meta is lying and saying this is due to vignetting caused by the pancake lenses, but then the screen do not move in relation to the lens so it shall look the same whatever direction you look in, so I think Quest 3 have some trouble with the IDP settings or that some sensor do affect the screen brightness. Few talk about this even it look like 1/4 of all Quest 3 users have this problem, and no KZbinr been mention it. I hope V64 can at least give up brightness and contrast per eye.

Man, watching those 8K KZbin videos really shows just how much Meta has dropped the ball when it comes to watching movies on their headset. I should be watching movies with the click of a button at that quality as a matter of default, or at least 4K. And stereoscopic 3D movies should be available too, and taking full advantage of the higher resolution to get the best possible image currently available on the headset. I've said it multiple times at this point, but I really should be easily able to go in, find The Super Mario Bros. Movie in stereoscopic 3D, click a button and watch it on my Quest 3 as easy as that. What a total fail on Meta's part.

I love when people say 'cloud gaming is the future' but don't mention the cost of subscription and individual software purchases, which was a big reason why Stadia failed. Nor mention the fact that only few companies will ever be able to do Microsoft's xCloud Game Pass business model, and even that is not destined for long term financial success.

Fulldive is IMPOSSIBLE. All BCI can do is read 'brainwaves'. It is IMPOSSIBLE to WRITE Brainwaves because NOT A SINGLE PERSON KNOWS how the brain works including Gabe.

While true, maybe they would get somewhere if the brain team got with a few hackers. I mean the brain is a cpu we don't know how to use. Brute force not physically of course 😅 but in waves maybe. I have no idea what I'm talking about. But programming sounds like it may help give some insight though.

Fulldive actually isn't impossible. And bci has been showed with a human and a animal already 2 some how connected and the person was able to move the animals arm just by the bci invasive tech which means with it programmed in computers we could move our charecters full movement just by bci in 10-15 years and this tech was a break through last year just to toss this out there and some other information that's classified I can not disclose any further other then it's going to be fun the next 15 years
