Hi Julian. I never gravitated towards owning one of these bulky looking head strap designs because of a developing disability that is (now) impacting my ablity to walk without assisted aid. It sucks, but such is life as we get older. I'm just thankful I'm still among the living to enjoy this VR Boom, etc. With that said, I totally see the value of such a strap for anyone that isn't confined to a chair. Both of these in your review look great. For anyone who is more/less a chair potato such as myself I would recommend the AMVR Head Strap Attachment for Oculus Quest 2. It's only $15.99 on Amazon and works with both my Quest 2 & 3. Just need to get it adjusted and tightened properly. The other (MAJOR) plus is that it's very comfortable when used in the lying down position.

Totally get where you're coming from there, and I'm very glad you're around to enjoy VR boom, and just having you around in general! Having a headstrap that will work while laying down is a big thing as well. I was able to sort of use the H4 and K4 laying down, but still a little bit bulky in the back, but if not used for a long time in that position, seemed to work fine. But something without anything on the back will always be best for that use. Thanks for the comment, and keep VR-ing out there!

Hi Julian, love your reviews, which would be your favourite headstrap with hot swap batteries & do you find halo design better for golf? Thanks
@jollyjulianАй бұрын
As of now, the one I'm using the most is the SonicGrace headstrap with swappable batteries. Really liking it. And while it's not HALO, I like the comfort and ease to use it. If being VERY active in VR - swinging head back and forth, it might be a little loose, but not bad at all. Here's a link if you want to see my review of this headstrap: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnzdopZundKoa9U Hope that helps! Thanks so much for the comment.

Why do you use an extender for the usb c cable?
@jollyjulianАй бұрын
Ah, a great question - so, I'm using a MAGNETIC USB connector for the power from the battery to the headset, so that it's very easy to disconnect, without having to disconnect the battery itself. Also, to keep the USB connection of the headset from wearing out from too many connections. Just playing it safe. I like the magnetic connection. thanks for the comment!

Hi Julian. This is not a headset problem, but I can't find a solution so thought I would see if you know. I have the 3s and in walkabout golf, I set the boundary but when I confirm it the blue grid stays visible. Do you know how I can clear it please?
@jollyjulian2 ай бұрын
So, question for you - are you setting your boundary, then putting down one of the controllers (because you only need one to play), and they having that issue? If so, it's probably because that 2nd controller is sitting close enough to the boundary, that it's making it always stay up. If that's not the issue, take a look at the sensitivity setting of your boundary, and make sure it's not set too high. Also, is the are you're playing in too small, perhaps, that you're always near the boundary? If so, you could try using the STATIONARY boundary, but that typically makes it a bit too tight for something like Mini Golf. Hope some of these things help, my friend! Glad you're in VR, and WALKABOUT is a fantastic game! One of my favs!

@jollyjulian Many thanks. By moving to a different area of the room, I managed to increase the playing area. It looks as if it was the area behind me that caused the border to stay visible. I can now enjoy the game fully. Actually managed to get a round in, under par.

I use the Bovo and have at least 3 Extra batteries. I guess I am paranoid about not having power lol.

LOL - totally understand that!

Hi, it is possible to use the H4 without the facial interface? Bought one and i'm waiting to try it out.
@jollyjulian2 ай бұрын
A great question! While I didn't test that out with the H4 without the facial interface, I have used a similar one on my Quest 2 over the years without the F.I., and it worked just fine! Give it a shot - I'll bet it will work.
@henriquelino72532 ай бұрын
@@jollyjulian I will get mine next week and I come back here to tell you if it works! I will probably get an open facial interface anyway as having support on the cheeks will help with some movements
