That looked so tasty! Nice pike. I don't know if you've tried this but you can make your batter recipe and add Budweiser or a beer of your choice to it to make a wet batter for the fish. Then coat the fish with it and deep fry in oil over the fire. It's really good too. Looking forward to the smoked caribou video.

Wassup Andrew of the Wild North. Just getting to part 2. Wassup Ebun. A 20 pound pike is quite optimistic indeed. Nice fileting job on the pike. Still tasting that smoked moose meat and now fried pike in butter. Life is good in the neighborhood.

Love all your videos. They remind me of my early life. My brothers and I have been fishing GSL for over twenty years now. We go up once a year for week. The fishing is amazing and so are the people. My kind of people, hunters, trappers, outdoorsman. We got two over twenty pounds this year. We've only caught a couple over 20 in the previous 20 something years. Best eating fish in the world so far as I'm concerned. I've caught fish all over Alberta, Saskatchiwin and BC. We just got back from a week fishing the Pacific ocean off the BC coast. For eating and solitude nothing can beat NWT fishing. BTW, do you know Cameron Beaverbones? He's a distant relative of ours.

think it may take awhile to get a 20lb pike. I go to some pretty much untouched land in north Manitoba at a fly-in lodge every 2 years for fishing and you catch pike literally every cast but a 20lber, we may get 1 out of 250-300 fish over 3 long days of fishing.

Nothin better to fry fish in than a well seasoned ARN skillet. Never ate fish with oregano seasoning. May have to try that. If I don't make beer batter to fry the fish in, I prefer yellow corn meal that is seasoned for the coating. Fried taters goes good with fried fish. You fellers best check that camera over soon. Something may have gone wrong with the focus. I only seen one insect in that whole video. Without that usual swarm of bugs, everybody watching will think that is an easy life you fellers are living. Soon, The country will start "fillin up" with folks. Dudes...mostly...lol! good luck!
