Lots of nice fish in there. Nice cook up. Man they have razor sharp teeth. I got part of my thumb grabbed by one once. I was doing the hook removal with tiny pocket pliers, thought it was laying still, then, wham. Ha ha.

Great vid as always mate. Have you tried this method of cooking fish before. Dig a small hole,build a fire in it till you have plenty of embers. Get your fish ready.i use it whole stuffed with wild hebs,season it,wrap it tightly in tinfoil,then pull back the embers from the hole,put fish in and recover with embers, one of the tastiest ways to cook fish.Think youl have to teach eban how to land and safely release fish. Having them flapping around on the rocks damages them and stresses them out. If the fish is tired it needs to be held gently in the water till its powerfull enough to swim away on its own,not just thrown back in. Great way to open a can of beans if youve no knife or opener is to find a flat rock and just rub the top of the can back and forth across it till the lip dissapears. Keep up the good work.

The reason they make multi tools with beer caps openers,, is that in the states there are many small breweries that bottle their beer with non twist caps. A 20.00 swiss army spartan is money well spent. I have opened cans with it many times.

Hey Brothers, yes those pliers are junk, I find long needle nose pliers the best hook removers. I once forgot to bring butter for a Heart Lake island fish fry, wasn't very popular that day, but we did the poaching method and it was ok..cheers..fish on!

great vid! Surprised you guys use such big spoons in that shallow water... I'd go for some floating crankbaits instead, probably get way less snags. A nice shallow- diving double-jointed Rapala minnow would probly do well there.

Loving the pike action Andrew! I haven't finished the video yet, but one tip for you. Instead of using that pliers, take the lure off the leader and gently pull the lure through the gill plate. I've saved many swallowed lures from injuring the pike that way. You won't have to worry about those dog teeth in the process! haha

Watching Andrew use Back Eddy's over the years really made me want to try it too. He's not exaggerating when he says how good it is. It is amazing on pretty much everything..especially fish and game meats!! The ONLY draw back is that you get nailed hard for shipping and handling buying from the States....but I don't care, it's well worth it! If you or anyone want a link to where I order it, let me know.

Get a Gerber (or Leatherman) multitool, and keep it on your person; also, get a Swiss Army Knife, and keep it in your pocket: these two items will sort just about anything out - whether in town or country. And whilst you're at the store, please get a wind-sock for your microphone...it would really help your audio quality improve no end. TYVM

do steam fish next time; I use ginger, soy sauce, salt pepper, seasame oil, green onions. I steam the whole fish head and all; take the guts out wash it good. steam for 20 minutes. You and Ebon drinking beer and fishing the summer during most people working behind a desk or whatever they do; what a life
@tomkirk69426 жыл бұрын
callsignViper You can also line the bottom of a cooking pot with small rocks and fill with water to just below the rocks. Then cut the fish into chunks and lay them on top of the rocks, thus steaming the fish. Works great and is super easy. Cheers!

Was that a Badger your cousin was carrying at 14:45? Was that in case he ran into a bear? 😊 I'll tell you the worst 20 bucks I ever spent was on a whore. What happened was that, one morning, my grandpa, who was about 80 at the time, got all the fishing gear he could find and went wandering off toward the river. The whole family laughed at him but he just ignored us. Around sunset, grandpa came back...with 2 whores he met in town. None of us were laughing then. I gave the 20 to the pretty one (that's the one that still had half her teeth) and let's just say it ended up costing a lot more than the original 20 when I had to pay for the medicine.
