for sure !! we got lots of clams out in cali. but not so many agate spirals ! thanks for checking out my finds ! all my gear stained red from Arkansas dirt I noticed, stained me with its minerals! in a good way ! happy new year !

Wow! There are so many pieces that contain those beautiful agatized turritella shells! Great finds you guys! Wow! The silicates mass of clay or silt that the turritella shells are stuck in just depends on the areas you find them in. I have some that are in a black rock . They are there because of a mass die off, of many sea creatures, because of an oxygenation event probably. But that's why they are concentrated in certain areas. There are so many things you can make with them. They are really beautiful! I hope you and Mom enjoyed your New Year's! My wish for the New Year is that 2024 be the very best year yet, for everybody! And that it continues for every year, there after! Happy New Year Nate and Mom (Rebecca) and family! And fur babies too! Wanderer is just the cutest little puppy, I've ever seen! the shells are an absolute favorite find, only had a few agetized fossils ive found and now I have all these !! it was very fun to explore and have success finding. thank you for letting me try and share that with you. over the years ive almost started picturing you all there with me . having friends like you, to share all this with is the best part of it all. happy 2024 !!

That big snail you found is a find indeed!! I have been looking in close to the same area for years and never found 1 like that so that's cool! I did however find 1 of those side ways shells that had turned into pure clear agate!! There should be lots of petrified wood in that area too. Sadly we have no bison but lots of antelope, badgers, coyotes, prairie dogs ground squirrels, and the like😂 there hasn't been any oil or coal extraction in that area though. There are a lot of natural gas wells in that area. The coal mines are further east from where you are, past rock springs. Great finds!!! Wish I could have shown you where there are slabs the size of your car containing those great clam and small shells

thanks for checking out my little adventure ! it was fun just getting off the road and looking around, so many new rocks and in new forms! Wyoming is a rockhounds paradise! I wasn't aware till we stopped and looked around how diversely rich with minerals it is. I will be back I hope , its a state I could wander in for a long time . my dad was born there so I do have that dirt in my blood . happy hounding !
