Some fascinating mentions in the list but I'm amazed Sentenced's debut hasn't been mentioned at least once. Yes it's very different from all of their subsequent releases but it's one of the finest old school death metal albums ever recorded. The late Miika Tenkula's finest hour.

It made sense to me that he was stating that as far as death/doom goes, he prefers Autopsy to Asphyx, but then when he brought up the American scene, I was like does he think Asphyx is from the US, lol. When Asphyx was brought up, I was excited to hear Metal Meltdown’s take on them because I’ve never heard him mention them, but seeing as he mixed them up with Autopsy, I wonder if he hadn’t heard them much. Either way, I think bringing up Asphyx is a great choice. “Last One on Earth” was a great follow up to “The Rack.” One of my go-to albums.
