This is a small quastion. How did you get first into Judas Priest? Long before i was a metalhead, when i was a kid i saw "Bride Of Chucky'" . There i first get in contact with the mighty Priest. I kept repeating this Bloodstained part on VHS. This was before the internet periode became household, so i never knew the band. Years later Judas Priest became my favorite band and i stumbled on the lesser known Jugulator album to discover(after all those years) the band that played on my favorite horror movie :p I mean, do you have stories like this?

I teach at an alternative high school and the vast majority of kids, unfortunately, are into (c)rap. At that age I couldn't relate because when I was in high school in the mid-80's, the vast majority of kids were into rock and metal, and that included the girls. Motley Crue was probably the most popular band at that time, along with Ozzy and Ratt. That was all new to me since coming in, my two favorite bands were probably The Beatles and The Police. Also, like you, I hate grunge.

@Josh Alan regarding good Christian Metal bands; Bryce gave some good ones, I could add a bunch and an album to check if you’re into metalcore, that I love- As I Lay Dying ‘Shadows are Security’ The Devil Wears Prada ‘Roots Above Branches Below’ August Burns Red ‘Constellations’ Becoming the Archetype ‘Dichotomy’ Living Sacrifice ‘Ghost Thief’ Fit For a King ‘Creation / Destruction’ Demon Hunter ‘The Triptych’ Disciple (all kinds of rock, really) ‘Scars Remain’ War of Ages ‘Supreme Chaos’

I'm actually not a huge metalcore guy. I'm more into straight up heavy metal, thrash metal and some extreme metal. I recently discovered a bunch of Christian metal bands and just metal bands in general that I had never heard of through Scott Waters' channel. I like some Christian metal bands like Stryper, Tourniquet, Seventh Angel, Living Sacrifice, Deliverance, Antestor, and Sacrificium. I appreciate your suggestions but I'm really not into metalcore other than a few exceptions (like Living Sacrifice).

So do you know/dig the band Black Trip (now called VOJD)? The lead singer is Enforcer's old guitarist. They also consist(ed) of a drummer from Enforcer and former members of Merciless, Unanimated, Necrophobic & Nifelheim, but Black Trip/VOJD is a traditional throwback metal band. Black Trip's 2nd album, Shadowline, is one of the best albums I've ever heard.
