We have been driving for days and finally make it to the border. They told me to get out of my vehicle and brought me in for questioning. I don't know if they are going to let me cross.

I love Canada! My hubby and I were in Niagara Falls for the Eclipse. Even though there was a lot of cloud cover, it was cool to experience the 3+ minutes of total darkness at around 3 in the afternoon. Enjoy your trip. I live in Amish country of Pennsylvania. Lancaster county.

2 large wild fires in Alberta right now. One near Fort McMurray and one up near Grande Prairie. Grande Prairie is near highway 43, but not shut down yet. Then there are the Northern BC fires. You can still get up to Alaska if there are closures, you just need to change course a few times.

We went on an Alaskan cruise last August and got Covid. The cruise line paid for a taxi to take my husband and I from Vancouver to SeaTAC airport. At the border at 8 am it took less than a minute because the agents know when they see a taxi with the driver and the passengers wearing masks they have Covid. They looked quickly at our passports and asked the driver if he was coming back across that day. Easiest time I have ever had going from Canada to the US as a former Canadian and now US citizen

Just reminded me of the straightest oldest roads in England, Scotland & Wales too. Incorporated into our modern straight roads. And they are the ones that were built by the Romans. I have to agree with crossing into Canada. I have been to 20 or so Europen and Asia countries without issue. But then again many checks have been done before you even land. Canada I guees is a bit of 'who is showing up at my door'. When I went for work I said the wrong thing and got hauled into imigration (I was covering doing some work for our Canadians who were out / shortage). The Canadains laughed after and said just say 'business meeting'. Got through and had a great time.
