Unfortunately, I have gay attractions but I’m doing my best to repent and turn from that lifestyle and people who promote it. I accepted Christ as my Savior and I want to be with Him in eternity. Even when I was in the lifestyle, I opposed same sex marriage and civil unions. Deep down it just never seemed right and I pray that The Holy Spirit keeps convicting me of my sins and I pray that when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Savior, that He sealed me and entered my name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. It’s a struggle and I pray everyday for greater understanding and greater love and faith in God through Christ Jesus. Please pray for me. Please! 🙏✝️

I know this is Long but I really felt the Holyspirit lead me to your comment. Pls Bear with me and read everything 😃😃😃 its important you begin to read Gods word everyday. With the new Life of Christ and continously reading Gods word he takes these struggles away by giving you his nature and it's a nature that is above sin. The bible says Sin shall have no dominion over you. When Jesus died on the cross that was him dying in our place. Jesus himself became Sin for us (lying, stealing, adultery, sexual immorality) this was why God had to punish Jesus because God hates Sin. But praise the lord It didnt end there. Christianity doesnt start with the death of Jesus but it starts with the Resurrection of Jesus Christ What does that mean? Jesus rising up again means He defeated sin, death, illness and sickness. JESUS would not have been able to rise from the grave if he did not have ABSOLUTE POWER over them. The life that rose Jesus from the grave has defeated Sin, it is dead to sin. It cannot sin. Because Jesus paid the price for sin when he died on the cross. But He rose again and told us to accept this NEW LIFE that is above sin and death. Once you accept Jesus into your life..now your nature is not sin nature, it is Gods nature. GOD NATURE, do you know what that means.... that you have God nature? The bible says that as God is in heaven so are we. He have the same power, the same authority with the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said that the works he did (raising up the dead, making the blind eyes see, making lame to walk) that we can do GREATER WORKS than that. It is important you truly understand what God did for u because until you truly know what Jesus did for you, You will continue to believe that you r supposed to be trying so hard to fight sin. You dont need to fight what has already been defeated. If you believe wrong, you will think wrong and pattern your life that way That's why God calls us to renew our mind with his word.. to begin to think like him You were brought our of darkness into life You are give the power by the Holyspirit to rule and ruin in this life You are more than an overcomer You are not struggling with sin but you are Born of God and therefore sin has no power over you Until you learn who you are in Christ Until you learn the Power you have the bible says that my people perish for lack of knowledge I'd be praying with and for you I encourage you to read Gods word... that is literally Jesus Talking to you I also encourage you to follow a Jesus believing Church or ask ur friends who are true Followers of Jesus not just in words but in actions and ask them to help introduce you to a man or woman of God that you can be accountable to someone that will walk you in your journey of faith. But much greater than any man, the Holyspirit is in you (the moment you accept Jesus as Lord of you life) The bible says he will guide you into all truth The holyspirit will Reveal what God said about you. You are not a victim You are a Victor You reign and Rule in this life You are more than an overcomer This is what God says about you Stop struggling with sin my dear and rest in the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ If you need support in your journey pls reachout I'd be more than happy to walk with you I cannot help but Love you so much but much more than that God loves you so much more God bless you❤❤

I am right there with you! Our stories sound very similar. I repented from the lifestyle 8 months ago and I am never turning from Jesus again. Only Jesus could have saved me from this lifestyle, I could never do it on my own. Now just a determination to love my savior powered by the Holy Spirit keeps me from sinning any longer. It's hard but through Him I'm doing it!! Praise God

@Deyandra Hutama actually tolerance is christian value because if god doesn't loves and tolerate us,he see us as sinners and condemns us all to hell,do you even remember John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through" and John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God and Jesus still tolerated and love us no matter you sin many times and want to be forgiven by God,he still forgives you despite being a sinner and still committing sins you are still adopted in god's family ❤,he is not called the loving,forgiving and tolerated God,sure God doesn't likes sin but he still forgives and loves the sinner who commits the sin from the beginning,do you remember Adam and Eve commit sin but God still forgive them by Adam and eve killing animals for clothing.
@juangabriellopez44752 жыл бұрын
@Deyandra Hutama have even realizes that the "God loves the sinner but hates the sin" and “the devil made me do it” is unbiblical and incorrect,because who makes/commits sin,a sinner of course,the sinner makes sin therefore there is no such thing is that sin makes us sinner,we make sin and makes us sinners and Yes, the devil and his demons tempt us to sin,but the devil cannot make us do anything. The devil is absolutely worthy of blame for much of the evil in the world, but using the devil as a scapegoat for our own sinful choices is counterproductive to achieving victory over sin,If you are a Christian like me and you commit a sin, the devil did not make you do it. He may have tempted you to do it. He may have even influenced you to do it. But he did not make you do it. You still had a choice,we have choice what is wrong and what is right,therefore that god still accepted the businessmen who makes money,which mean he tolerated the sinner who makes sin from the beginning,like satan choose to rebal against God, because he is a sinner who makes sin from the beginning and Adam & Eve chooses to disobey God by there own choice, therefore that Adam and eve is a sinner who commits/makes sin from the beginning by their personal decision & choice and free will.

People nowadays often confuse the definition of tolerance, they seem to think you must agree with someone in order to be tolerant, but this is not tolerance, the definition of tolerance is when we discover we disagree with someone our treatment of them doesn't change we disagree but still accept and respect each other as fellow human being, but we certainly don't have to agree to respect or love each other. It's very easy to respect and tolerate those who agree with us, the real challenge is when we disagree with someone, it's not so easy then!!.... this is where you will find out if a person has true tolerance or not, not if they agree with you.

No, he isn't. If someone asks me what I think about the homosexuals and why, it's only fair that I get to ask him the same. If that person says that my opinion is wrong, then she needs to validate her own opinion. People often tend to demand proofs from Christians. Why are we always on the accused one's seat? Actually, we don't have to discuss anything. If we don't like, for example, gay marriage, we can try to make it illegal again. Why? Because God says so. There is no God? Alright, then because we feel like it. It's immoral? Why, if there is no God and no conscience? Who decides what right and what's wrong if there's no God? In Canada they'll take away your children and put them for adoption if you teach them that homosexuality isn't good. Isn't that the very definition of oppression and intolerance? Why do I have to be tolerant and accept gayism, if pro-gay people won't be tolerant and accept that I don't like it? I'm not walking around looking for homosexuals to stone to death or to abuse in any way, as a matter of fact, I don't even dislike gay people, rather the thing they practice, yet I'm gonna lose my children if I tell them that I don't like it? This pattern you can apply on virtually every topic. Besides, why are gays so obsessed with marriage - if there is no God? Without the sanctity of the marriage - it's just a couple of signatures on a piece of paper...
@thewildchimp6 жыл бұрын
Uh-huh... Then explain heterosexual men and women turned homosexual in adult age. Then I'd like you to explain how come there are heterosexual people with the same biological condition. After that, I'd like to remind you that babies are actually asexual and that sexual attraction develops in later stages of growing up or never. And how on Earth did you come to conclusion that this is the reason for homosexuality? As I've said it - not all homosexuals have the condition. Some children adopted by the homosexuals turn homosexual later on, making their own choice, rather then suffering from some imagined condition, invented to give legitimacy to homosexual behaviour. Jesus Christ, man... You are basically describing religious people like lunatics... Is that how you validate your diploma, by bashing people you don't understand because it's popular to do so? And you are making some ridiculous statements. Are you not aware that Christianity originated in what are modern Palestine and Israel and spread throughout the entire world, despite the horrendous atrocities inflicted upon Christians by the non-Christians? Turek said it well, I'll paraphrase: "You can't be a scientist if you don't understand philosophy." That is, if you are bad with making logical conclusions.

I'm a Christian that's been having a lot of doubts recently and I just wanna throw two simple questions out their to see if someone can answer. Why does God in the bible seem to protect his people, but now we see people in churches get gunned down, or people that believe in him just get shot when they went to an event, or just simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. Why does the protection the bible says God gives to us seem to be very rarely applied to believers now. I'm not making the argument that God is evil because bad things happen to good people, but like why do I never see Psalm 5:11, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, 2 Samuel 22:3-4, why don't I see this protection in his people today. Second question: Why did God take everything away from Job, even to the point of killing his family just to prove a point to someone as low as the devil that he's a Godly man? That seem like something a mere human would do.
@kurtgundy6 жыл бұрын
Kel Durant First question...why dont I see His protection, as in the Bible? I would say its not as obvious because we dont know what we dont know. Also we cant see the spiritual world. I can think of many times ive been protected from being hurt, in a car accident for example, or protected from having an accident in the first place. But only God knows how many times He's protected me and i had no clue i needed protection. i might have been killed a hundred times over, but never knew i was that close to dying, because my vision/knowlege is very limited. Suppose i was 30 seconds earlier or later. Thats all it takes to avoid an accident. We'll never know how many accidents didnt happen because i took a different root, i was running late, or a friend canceled plans to meet...the list is almost endless. You know about the shooting at the church, but you dont know how many shootings God prevented from happening. Why did God allow THAT shooting? We might never know in this life. Then consider my blindness to the spiritual world. Read 2 Kings 6:15-17.

Question: If a father molests his child, is it right to divorce him? At that point isn't it in the child's best interest to leave him?
@enjoliturner41794 жыл бұрын
If anyone is bringing harm to a child, It is def in the child's best interest to get that child away from the person doing the harm, (parent or not). I would also report him to the authorities. I will be praying.
@Ben-br1bu4 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. My answer would be that it would depend on what you mean by "divorce". If you just mean to leave him in order to get the child to another place where he cannot harm it, I would say yes. If you mean to leave the man and marry another, the answer is no. The moment you marry a person, you are made one flesh with that person. So if she leaves him, she should stay single. There is actually a verse about this in the Bible: "To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife." 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 Note that a woman should not seperate from her husband but if she does she is not allowed to take a new husband. So there is a standard of divorce being wrong generally but the Bible leaves room for the possibility of a woman (as being the weaker part) to seperate (probably in order to have the possibility to escape abuse) but she needs to remain unmarried then because she still has a covenant with her husband which she is not allowed to break. She promised, so she must fulfill it and cannot come together with someone else. But also notice how this is an exception only for the woman, not for the man. The man is held to a higher standard because he is supposed to provide for his wife. So, he cannot leave her for any reason because especially back then in this culture, this would have been very problematic for the wife who wasn't able to provide for herself.

Ben Hey, thank you for the really in depth answer, I really appreciate. But I won’t lie, now I am very worried for my mother, who claims to be a Christian. She left my biological father, who molested the children in the family, and is now married with more kids, to another man. Wouldn’t she be living in sin? It’s alright if you answer honestly, I get it. I am just curious to know if she has any hope. Now having multiple kids with two different men.
@Ben-br1bu4 жыл бұрын
@@billybubone Well, I cannot speak on the behalf of God in this specific situation because I don't know your mother or all circumstances. Generally speaking, if a woman divorces and marries another, it would be adultery. However, I can say this: Every person on earth is a sinner, which is also the reason for why every person on earth needs a Saviour. The beauty of the Gospel is that Jesus took the punishment for our sins upon Himself when He died for us on the cross. Without Him, we are all lost because nobody is without sin. Therefore, I would conclude that if your mother truly believes in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour, she would be saved regardless, as her sins would be forgiven. Also, we are not bound to a written law but we are living in the Spirit who guides us into the truth. So, judging by a written law is not entirely correct. I think that I wrote this earlier but I don't quite remember: Every situation is different and God is judging us by the heart, not by the outward appearance. Therefore, a Christian would be able to point out that remarriage is adultery in general we would not be able to judge the person based on it. Only God can judge and in the end, your mother needs to decide for herself what God tells her to do. I would be a liar if I would pretend that I'm not sinning in my life any longer, despite my efforts to change. But I'm absolutely certain that I am saved by the grace of God. Remember that we do not try to stop sinning in order to be saved but we want to stop sinning out of love for the God who has already saved us because we know that He doesn't like sin and we will live with Him together for all eternity. God bless you!

Question 1: Yes, but only when it's reciprocal. If by tolerating intolerant views I enable those views to go on to promote further intolerance, that defeats the whole purpose of tolerance(paradox of tolerance). Thus, justification for refusing to tolerate homophobia/transphobia. Question 2: I simply mean morally acceptable. Without belief in God, we're just left to chart out our own moral compasses and decide as a species what behavior is acceptable. We don't need a higher authority to tell us what rights we have or what we can or can't do, you've just probably never seen things through a non-christian lens. Question 3: My justification is that there's no good reason to condemn LGBT behavior outside of the context of god. It's consensual adults doing their thing, not getting anyone involved that doesn't want to. No tangible drawbacks on society large… seriously, just let people enjoy what they want. Question 4: No, because that's silly. Again, We as a culture have made the decision of what rights we have as human beings over time, it really doesn't take a high authority to sort that out. You really are just incapable of understanding the atheist worldview. Also, this idea that the world at large views sex as purely physical is absolutely ridiculous. There's an undeniable emotional aspect to it; facilitating a bond and all that. Again, no God required. That's what sets homosexuality aside from rape, pedophilia and zoophilia; none of those 3 involve genuine consent, and without consent there's no true relationship being cultivated.

@suem60045 жыл бұрын
Since about 800 years starting with the Magna Carta. The individual as having anything known as legal rights stems from Christian Redeemer who died to expiate for the sins of an individual. Islam has no redeemer. No altruism by God on behalf of an individual. That starts the development of rights and laws developed over millennia and brought by Christian protestant pilgrims who colonized America. And rights deemed inalienable from God in the Declaration of Independence. The invented separation of church and state is not in the constitution. Freedom of religion not freedom from religion. Secularists have sought to strip religious tolerance yet have nothing to replace inalienable judeo christian values, laws or rights. Secularism is relativistic lacking any ability to determine good and evil as such are socially constructed thus can disappear at a whim.

joshua church let's make this short and sweet. What you said is correct cold hard facts. Here's another one, you cannot prove what you believe. That is also a fact. That's why it's called faith, because there's no definitive proof. You presented facts, and tried to join your faith in with the facts you presented. Like I said those rhetorical games don't work. If someone doesn't believe what you do you're gonna have to accept that, and I encourage you to let people live their lives as they please especially since it doesn't affect you, or your salvation.

"No authority in the sexual revolution"? Why would you think that _you_ should be the "authority" when it comes to someone else's sex life? If it's between consenting adults, why is it any of _your_ business? _"Do you consider yourself a tolerant person?"_ Well, I'm intolerant of lies. I'm intolerant of people causing harm to other people. When it comes to gay marriage, though, "tolerance" doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. Being gay isn't a moral issue. Being transgender isn't a moral issue. They're just facts. You can believe whatever you like. I'm certainly "tolerant" of that. If I think you're wrong, I'll still argue against that belief, though. After all, if you think _I'm_ wrong, I'd certainly want you to try to change _my_ mind. (That's because I _care_ about the truth of my beliefs. If I'm wrong, I want to know that, so I can change my mind.) If you discriminate against me because I'm an atheist, though, that's different. If you discriminate against black people, against women, against gay people, against transgender people, that's different. It would be just the same if Christians were discriminated against, too. _"if they say 'I think same sex marriage is a good thing' or transgenderism"_ You seem to be missing the point entirely. Being gay or transgender isn't a "good" thing and it isn't a "bad" thing. It's just reality for some people. Equal rights _is_ a good thing, and I can argue for that, if you actually oppose it. _"They're going to have a very difficult time defining 'good' without reference to God"_ Bullshit. Google is your friend. Good: "to be desired or approved of." Of course, "good" is a word we use in multiple ways, so there are many different definitions. But I don't see that _any_ of them require 'God.' _"There's gotta be a standard outside of us"_ Evidence? _"If there's no god, there's no right to anything"_ Evidence? _"Rights are something you have regardless of what the government says"_ Not true. Women didn't have the right to vote in America until 1920. IMO, they _should_ have had the right to vote before then (the Bible was one of the main things holding them back), but they didn't. _"How did you come to that conclusion"_ What conclusion? That women should have always had the right to vote? Do you _disagree_ with that conclusion? I can answer that, but I won't bother if it's just a way to make me waste my time. _"When somebody says something... it's their job to support what they say"_ Exactly - at least, if they're making a claim. That's why I'm always asking Christians for evidence that their god - or _any_ god - actually exists. Do you _have_ any evidence - any _good_ evidence - that your god exists? _"Have you ever considered..."_ You're kidding, right? Here in America, we atheists have typically been surrounded by Christians our entire life. Heck, I didn't know a single other person who _wasn't_ a Christian (as far as I knew, at least) all through high school, _at least._ Indeed, I've rarely known another atheist even since then. It's Christians who tend to be taught their beliefs as children, before they've even developed the _capability_ of critical thought, and then grow up in a bubble, surrounded by other Christians. Atheists have thought about this stuff - most of us, at least. Have you? _"If you're asking me what the Bible says"_ Why would I care what the Bible says? Why would I care what the Quran says? Why would I care what the Bhagavad Gita says? Why would I care what the Book of Mormon says? Why would I care about any of that? _"People sometimes get hurt beyond recovery when it comes to sex"_ And often, it's because of prudes like you. The people who are hurt are often hurt because of hypocritical Christian prudes, because of ignorant Christians who attempt to follow an old book of primitive superstition, because of religious bigots who treat even their own children like dirt, let alone other people's children. _"Probably more than half the people in this room have been scarred by the sexual revolution"_ Heh, heh. Yeah, right. Let's bring back the old days when fathers sold their daughters, when women had no rights, when rape victims were forced to marry their attackers. It's remarkable to me how much you sound like the Taliban.
