I agree with Lynn on the tow car. I’m sure most motorhome owners still have a car so why not buy something small that you can also tow. We only have a 6.36m Fiat Ducato and I still think a tow car would give us more flexibility. Thanks for sharing an interesting Q&A.

I considered replacing my Laser 650 and towcar which would let me get a pretty good MH and I would tow my wife's Fiat 500 behind but she said nope so car and caravan stays ,but like everything in life its what suits you best thanks for sharing your time with us

Towing a car. With a caravan you aways have to take your car with you, taking the car with the MH is optional. Only had mine done a few months ago and it has been really handy when I dropped the MH off to have some work done, with the car I was home within an hour, but taking a train would have been 2.5 to 3 hours.

The plus with towing with the motorhome you can use the small car for places like Cornwall. Big caravan big car which can be a pain. Abroad you need a trailer as well. Me I’d stick to bikes/scooters or public transport. Did I just agree with Rob. 😱

Sorry Rob, we tow our car every trip away and it's invaluable to us, it's my everyday run around (hubby has work vans) just like you and Lynn, we take the dog places, shopping etc, we did think about the caravan option but it simply doesn't appeal to us (setting up takes people an age) I don't want to driving a big car around when home, plus when we're away we can always get a parking space, i wouldn't get rid of our set up for anything, as you say we're all different 😂. Anyway great video as usual I have changed my mind on scooters however and now think they are a good idea as there so much smaller than a bike to carry (providing your able bodied) look forward to seeing you away next x

Hi Anita, you need to be a member of the caravan and camping club, the DA is affiliated with which ever area you live in, but if you sue load the app out and about all the rallies are on there, you can go along to any of them all over the country, to all of the different DA’s Hope that helps

We have a mix, car for going into towns and based in one location and travel around, and in the middle of winter in Germany, motorbike for touring round off one or two locations and not having to pack the Morton home up every time we c-want to go any where. Then we have e-bikes if we are moving every day and need to get about close tothe Moho, and e-Scooter if moving daily but going to be in town aires

We tow when we are booked on a site for a week that may need isolated. We take our golf clubs and have been to some golf clubs where there was no access for the motorhome , so the car is ideal. I can't understand why anyone would take a dog in a motorhome. Like you say, we are all different and have different opinions.

Great Vlog as always! Made me laugh so many times! I got to say i agree with Rob! To me A Motorhome is about Freedom the ability to go anywhere and park wherever you can, i go further and say if you buy a M/H and just go to Caravan sites, you really dont get the Motohome thing! A rally is fine as you are off grid, ok on a field somewhere, but not relaying on Electric hook up. A Caravan on the other hand is restricted to where you can go, ie a Caravan site and yes a rally but not a layby or an industrial estate or even a Suburban street. Motorhome is more freedom to where you can stay, Do not restrict the freedom by towing a car behind you, Buy a caravan and save Money! I would love the freedom of a Motorhome but i cant afford one, so i have a Caravan, and a fairly old one at that (2008) but it gets me out! I had a few more points to say, but ive forgotten what they are as ive ranted, with my 1 finger typing and its taken 20 mins! Best wishes Both! oh n you both look good for your ages! Hi Guys, not against towing a car, but one of the main reasons we switched from a caravan to a Motorhome is it only takes us 5mins to set up when we get on site, I could not be arsed having to unhook a car then set it back up when you are about to leave, Now we have retired and spend as much time in Europe as we can we look for Aires if possible free ones as we can go off grid so another reason not to take a car. We have Ebikes they are brilliant, don't think I would get my "Little Angel" on a scooter!! Quick question for you, you recently did a Vlog on a 2Kw power bank, with all the power banks you have which one would you recommend? love the Vlogs best Regards Bob & Wend

Hi both, and there are pros and cons to having a tow car, of course Rob agrees with everything you’ve said 😳 Scooters are amazing and I’m hopeless on bikes i always fall off 🙈 Power banks, well ecoflow are the best without a doubt, but we love the Allpowers too, we can actually run the van off it using the 240 sockets as if we were on hook up, also use the microwave which is a bonus, then put the solar panel out and charge it back up again, and for the price it’s brilliant Hope that helps

Hello my 2 superstars Rob & Lynn , happy coronation holidays, & did you manage Lynn to charge your scooter up ? Was it all working ok? Sorry i haven't text you for a little while but i am quite poorly @ the mo & waiting now for the blood tests results back on my liver as on my last blood tests the doctor called me & said that they had found some cancer cells & blood clots , wanted to re do my bloods yesterday & see whats wrong / going on etc with my liver , so fingers crossed its nothing serious & can be sorted out & soon , but i am also waiting for my cataracts to be removed under general anarcetic as my disabilities mean i need it done that way for safety reasons, i have loved the vlog , watching Rob pine for you Lynn he is so lost without you & loves you so much especially for your cooking lol , know he did genuinely mist you lovey, its true love ❤️ & back from me to you both , i am not sure when all my ops are coming up but i will keep you in the loop & get Carly my daughter to keep an eye on you both while i carnt watch you but it wont be for long my 2 special love birds 😂 catch up soon on your next vlog all our love Linda & Carly Dunn from Newport Shropshire xxx

I’m with Rob on the tow car , why would you put a car on the back and pull two engines about just have a caravan if you need a car , depending on how you camp I suppose but motorhomes to my mind are for traveling and caravans for staying a while on a site , but as Rob said there’s no right or wrong just a different way and each to their own.

Totally wrong rob , a tow car opens so many adventures and you don’t have to take it with you every time you go away , you can’t do with a caravan what you can do with a Motorhome.
