I have been on the fence on this topic for ages! I'm still confused no matter how many videos I watch. I have a very big nose. And it has caused me a great deal of mental and emotional stress and insecurities and has really affected my mental health. I have hated my nose since the 8th grade and I'm 23 now. In the back of my mind, something tells me it's not Christian to get a nose job or any major plastic surgery. Only because being a true Christian you know you are not here for you. We are here for Jesus and others. My problem is no matter how much I try to accept it and not let it affect me it does. I might even start going to Christian cousneling about it. I know that God most likely wouldn't be for something like this because it is vain, selfish, and is putting the focus on your appearance. I just can't seem to get past my insecurities :( Any advice would be greatly appreciated :( This is so hard for me!

I know you posted this two years ago, but I hope I can still help you. God cares only about how you treat others and interact with God, your body is so unimportant compared to the relationship you have with him. Sins are sins because they push us further from God; so the question you need to answer is, "Will this choice impact my devotion to God?"

im also in my early 20’s now and feel bad about my looks… now that you’re in your 30’s do you still feel that way about your nose or do you feel better about it? i know you wrote your comment 8 years ago but i really want to know if your perspective changed pr if you got the plastic surgery…

I'm happy bcz I love God, I have my cup full of God, I do get Botox here and there but my only happiness is our lord. I do the Botox bcz I hate some ugly wrinkles I have. I don't do it to impress anyone. My most important thing is God and my kids. If at the moment I have no money to get my Botox, I don't worry about it, I let it go. I agree that plastic surgery will never make us happy unless we have God in our hearts.

I think your answer was very good. I have heard there is scripture that says your not supposed to cut the body. I don't know where that scripture is though. I have been in a room with a lot of plastic surgeons. (In the medical field) think your question why was good for the other person. Because it is sometimes your intentions that will get you into sin whether you recognize them. I do believe most people that have plastic surgery don't like how they look. Sometimes it's a mommy makeover, they feel like they've earned it. Sometimes it's for excess skin for someone who's lost a lot of weight. Good answers

is it ok for me to get a nose job? its not for anyone, it just feels heavy on my face and i like makeup art and my nose is on the way. i am so happy and my bose isnt affecting my happiness but i just wanna be able to feel lighter on my face since its kinda heavy and i wanna make better makeup

@@icyunvme2400 what i mean is like cause its facing the wrong way and a bit harder fir me to breathe and making my nose more upward would help me breathe more. when things hit my nose it hurts more too because of extra bone or something
