You're right about the PHEVs. I drove my Tucson PHEV from Calgary to Nashville and back; in the empty wastes of Wyoming, there was no EV range anxiety. When I use it for local commuting, I go weeks between fill-ups. If you have the ability to charge it at home (a critical "if"), PHEV can be a great choice.

My 2021 Niro PHEV is awesome! Truly the best of both worlds. No it is not a race car but the dual clutch transmission with sport mode is efficient and fun to drive. It has driver’s seat memory is power adjustable. Plus the front seats are heated and ventilated and full leather seats all around. The car is easy to get in and out of both front and rear seats, and easy to park and drive around the city, very solid on the highway, with lots of space in the back, plus roof racks and cross bars. I like the regular sunroof (not pano), and the understated styling helps this very cool car blend in. I added on a block heater for winter and rain guards for summer. The regular tinted windows are perfect. The dual zone AC is great and I like having buttons to push. The dual digital instrument panels give a ton of programmable information and again… blend in. Not like other cars that have an iPad stuck on the dash… I could go on, but you get the picture.

For 2025 they have added a few nice features that I think will make a difference. It's also nice they kept the V6. I believe the Frontier also has a better reliability score then other Nissan products. If they can look at the competition and keep pricing in check, they may be able to swing their sales numbers. Right now the Frontier is not selling well, hopefully that trend will shift, especially with the outrageous pricing on the new Toyota stuff. You guys rock!

Anyway, the BASE model of the CX-90 has way more bells and whistles standard than any other car I have driven, and it's still too opulent for me! This is in the US. And it has real paddle shifters, too, like real ones. No one knows anything about it at the dealer.. all I know is I keep buying them and they don't work.. it has three lenses, one for low beam two for high it is a matrix system that shuts off certain pixels in the high beams when a car approaches so instead of the complete high beam turning off, the pixels will turn off exactly where the front of the car is and follows the car all the way past you leaving the other pixels on meaning you have high beams on even when a car is coming at you.. the problem is it does dances when you see let's say a big yellow curve sign and the beam bounces off of it.. just look up matrix lighting on KZbin. You will see the animation.. and yes it does the little dance when you unlock the car at night

If you wondering why, go find the guy driving one, and ask them "why did you buy over sticker?" As long as your kind keeps buying them, I'll keep marking them up and making more money. We sell at the price you buy it for. If you were in my shoes, you'd do the same. The ones who do buy it, don't care about your and your troubles about complaining about markups. No seriously, go to one of them. Tell them, "because of you, you change the sales curve on the pricing, and ruin it for everyone else" And they will tell you "I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, WHO ARE YOU? GO BACK TO WORK AND MAKE MORE MONEY PEASANT" I'm not saying that's right. I'm just saying the ones buying don't care if you can't afford it, or don't want to afford it. You can buy the animation function to restore full usability to your high end OLED and LED Matrix headlights online. Not from the maker unfortunately, but digital entrepreneurs (hackers) who have broken the codes to restore full headlight functionality to those of us who have spent a lot of extra money to get the OLED Matrix headlight option. The problem is that the United States legal requirements for headlights prevents the programmable elements needed from functioning. The equipment is there, you just need a software upgrade to Euro specs for the headlights. Audi has shown some new OLED headlight projectors that will allow you to project movies with them onto a wall! Once you drive behind a set of top end Matrix Beam headlights, you will never want crappy old fashioned glaring headlights any more...watching your headlights adjust the beams instantly as you come up to an oncoming car or behind another car and see your great headlights wrap around the car in front of you, without actually shining on the car, and it's driver and illuminate the road around it, and off to the sides of it while passing that vehicle is a life changing event. The best headlights are so good now, they are almost beyond belief.

People will do a lot better for themselves.....but you know man is lazy and they only think they know best. Vehicles are not an investment, they all depreciate. Not to mention unless you pay cash...interest rates on new Toyota vehicles ( along with some others) are way to high. They Cost More to purchase , they need to be plugged in like a full EV all the time to make them even worth buying and driving, and you really need to install at least a level 2 charger at home to keep them charged at night, which can cost quite a bit if you hire an Electrician to do the job properly ! No, just pitch HYBRID cars and SUVs. There is really nothing different for the Consumer to do .
