Toyota/Lexus quality has really slipped. My family owns as 2023 RX500h. Had the 12v battery die out of nowhere which was replaced under warranty. 8 months into ownership started having transmission issues (6-speed AT) and issues with the hood thinking it was open. Had to wait over 3 MONTHS for transmission to be replaced as there was no ETA. Car has 26,000kms. Hood latch was defective. Picked the car up after new transmission put it and drove 5kms before it started slipping/stalling again. Many owners are having the same issues and are needing transmissions replaced but has not been a guaranteed fix. Currently fighting Lexus Canada to take this vehicle back. Made a tik tok account demonstrating these issues and finally got Lexus Canadas attention on this. Waiting to see what they’re going to do.

If you are buying a truck that is about to be discontinued I would pick one that was popular. That way you have a better chance of getting parts needed to keep it going. Not sure what the sales numbers were for the Titan. Even though the Toyota Tacoma did a redesign this year that model was pretty much unchanged since its introduction in 2016. There are massive amounts of after market parts and upgrades available for the Taco due to its popularity.

As a Toyota owner I would agree Toyota quality is slipping. Whether its caused by the new power trains, moving a lot of manufacturing outside the US or as I have observed the use of a lot more plastic parts I don't know. For anyone considering leasing know this, if you decide to buy it out it will be considered a used car at that point and your interest rates will double or even triple. Leases are designed to make sure you have no equity in the vehicle at the end of the lease and your payments will go up considerably if you decide to finance it going forward. Unless you have the cash to purchase it outright at the end of the lease you’ll be giving it back and starting over

I HATE the fact that the "price" on Tesla's website shows what your "expected savings" are but then there's another ACTUAL price. 4. I HATE the fact that the longest range is supposedly 402 miles. Yet, this "range" never really comes to fruition. The tests are done in a controlled environment, on a dynometer, on a flat road, with the wind at your back. No Tesla has EVER gone 402 miles on a single charge! 5. I HATE the fact that you have to use the screen to open and close the glove box! Do you realize how much money you spend if you lease a car and/or buy a new car every three years. It’s absolutely crazy. A car is not an “investment”! Stop thinking of like that. Car value only goes one way and that’s down. Unless you have a lot of money (which means you can buy outright for cash and not blink an eye) don’t do it. Also, on leasing or buying on time the dealer can make the payment anything you want - they just stretch the timing longer and you end up paying even more. You need to recommend they need to look at if they can afford the car outright first.

Typically every Sunday morning at 10am PST/1pm EST. We were in South Korea last Sunday so I posted when we got up which ended up being 2pm PST as we were 16 hours ahead. Just trying to do our best here.....
