The explanation of history from an authentic Catholic perspective is priceless. Yet raises many questions; ie, if the Church "Christianizes" cultures, by, say, accepting polyphony where it once practiced Gregorian Chant (which sounds alot like adapting to culture) isn't that an argument for a "Mass in the vernacular"? And can't that idea be extended to include even "Synodality," where the Church (ostensibly) tries to "Christianize" or "adapt to" the current global "culture"?

No because the absorbing of culture never involved defecting from the Catholic faith. Vernacular mass & the things of the modern world (birth control, divorce, ecumenism, etc.) have always been condemned whereas polyphony, baroque art etc. aren't deviations from Catholic doctrine

Bishop Sanborn unfortunately teaches that there is salvation outside of the Catholic Church. The Church has declared over and over again that the observance of the natural law is not sufficient, that Divine Faith in Jesus Christ is absolutely necessary for salvation. The saints who speculated about baptism of desire/blood NEVER held it to be a grace that could be applied to one who did not have the Catholic Faith, like Bishop Sanborn teaches. Here is Bishop Sanborn teaching it in his article entitled "The New Ecclesiology" p.20: "Schismatics and heretics leave the path of salvation and enter on that of perdition. Instead of being a means of salvation, non-Catholic sects are adulteress churches. Those who adhere to them go to hell, unless they are excused from fault because of invincible ignorance." He is inserting his own teaching here, for he is commenting on Pope Leo XIII, who does not indicate that invincible ignorance saves: "LEO XIII [Encyclical Satis cognitum, June 29, 1896] The Church of Christ, therefore, is one and the same forever; those who leave it depart from the will and command of Christ the Lord - leaving the path of salvation they enter on that of perdition. “Whosoever is separated from the Church is united to an adulteress. He has cut himself off from the promises of the Church, and he who leaves the Church of Christ cannot arrive at the rewards of Christ...He who observes not this unity observes not the law of God, holds not the faith of the Father and the Son, clings not to life and salvation.” (St. Augustine, Sermon CCLXVII, no. 4)" Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Quas Primas, Denzinger #2195, page 567 "Indeed, this kingdom is presented in the Gospels as such, into which men prepare to enter by doing penance; moreover, they cannot enter it EXCEPT THROUGH FAITH AND BAPTISM, which, although an external rite, yet signifies and effects an interior regeneration..." Baptism of desire/blood do not contain external rites...the Pope can only be referring to the sacrament of baptism. Athanasian Creed, Denzinger #39, page 15 “Whoever wishes to be saved, needs above all to hold the Catholic faith; unless each one preserves this whole and inviolate, he will without a doubt perish in eternity.” Ignorance cannot save, and dogmas were always referred to as mysteries of Faith: Pope Pius X Encyclical Acerbo Nimis #2 "And so Our Predecessor, Benedict XIV, had just cause to write: “We declare that a great number of those who are condemned to eternal punishment suffer that everlasting calamity because of ignorance of those mysteries of faith which must be known and believed in order to be numbered among the elect.”
