I believe in Catholicism but it now has a break with scripture in cleric after cleric. The death penalty article in the catechism went from deficient ( two Popes redefined deterrence to mean only deterring the murderer you placed in prison…..not the 1000 nascent potential murderers who have not murdered yet)….to now a ridiculous assertion that execution always was wrong because it violates the inviolability of the murderer….which means that several dozen scripture verses minimum …were wrong and God was wrong inspiring Genesis 9:6…Romans 13:4…and every death penalty He gave the Jews for adultery, gay acts, striking or abusing your parents. It will take the African more masculine sector of the Church to turn this around at the macro level imo. They might schism and the healing of that schism will require the purging of many anti scriptural mistakes like the ccc 2267…..and the mind boggling Verbum Domini section 42 by Pope Benedict averring that the Old Testament prophets were against all violence….”In the Old Testament, the preaching of the prophets vigorously challenged every kind of injustice and violence, whether collective or individual”. The prophet Samuel killed Agag because Saul failed to. Elijah literally killed several hundred idolaters. Here is Jeremiah warning the Chaldeans they better fight the Moabites…Jeremiah 48:10 “ A curse on anyone who keeps their sword from bloodshed!” Now in all these cases….no one fraternally corrects these Popes that they just asserted the absurd. Fraternal correction is absent on a jurassic level. That is more absurd than the mistakes.

So true regarding sports, I’ve always felt the same way - Waste of time and brain. The Bishops direct NY, no nonsense tone is music to my ears, he is terrific.

The rainbow crowd confuses “blessing” with confession - Simply ask them what is a blessing ? Let them define it - they won’t be able to because the definition is an affirmation of living within the defined code of morality set thousands of years ago. So it’s impossible to bless - they really need confession and an examination of conscience or perhaps just mental health.

The Last Rites...My sister came back to the Church after 66 years (I had come back after 44 years, left after Vatican II) 3 Years ago. Both of us are Traditional not NO but on the island where she lives only NO. The priest that heard her general confession has never contacted her since her confession after saying he would keep in touch, she was house bound. A Brother of Providence Missionary order, a long time friend, has been bringing her communion every week since she has gone into a home. She is dying and I asked her if I could ring her Arch Diocese to get a priest to give her the last rites, she told me "No, God knows what is in my heart and soul, what is the point", I think that says it all of the difference in belief... it is a small island so the priest would have heard. My heart is sad at the cuckoo in the nest of the Catholic Church - traditional Catholics are being kicked out of the nest.

According to tradition Dismas, along with the souls in limbo, rose with Jesus Christ, but just as Jesus was not visible to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, neither were these risen souls. They all remained in His company until His Ascension. Some visited family members who were among the first converts of Saint Peter on Pentecost Sunday. There was no reason for these souls to be detained any longer in Limbo. And as Jesus was instructing the faithful for forty days the disciples baptized the souls released from their long detainment. They all believed in the Messiah as well as baptism which they knew was required for entrance into heaven. (John 3:5) and which Our Lord promised to Saint John the Baptist when he asked our Lord for it. John to Jesus, Thou should be baptizing me. Jesus to John, let it be so for now. They knew baptism did not only put them in a state of grace, but made the part of Him. And Only One Ascends, as St John tells us, so they needed to be part of Him.

Every living thing comes out of God. Why should only humans have a Soul? What does tha even mean a Soul?

What would be some examples of seminaries etc which the laity should be suspect of if a priest says they went there? And what should we look for in the ordination certificate which Bp Sanborn mentioned? Thank you!

Last time I checked, there is NO OTHER meditator in heaven or on earth, except Christ the Messiah. The Catholic Church or the Pope included. No other means NO OTHER.

Why does he say if you are outside of the church you cannot come to Christ? This is wrong, if a believer is on some remote island without a church does that mean he is no longer saved? If a man in China becomes a Christian but cannot go to Church does he simply go to hell when he dies? Many wrong priests and pastors say you must go to THEIR Church, and donate money to THEIR Church but that is not the basis for how you get to heaven.

Such a pleasure to listen to the Bishop - I'm from NY Long Island and Please tell Bishop Sanborn he reminds me of the Priests back in the late 60's when I went to Cure of Ars Catholic school in Merrick - A no nonsense, straight shooter that gives you the strict version of Catholicism, not watered down - I must say, his stern approach does bring back memories of when I was a 7 year old and scared to death of Catholic School :) Now at 66 years old, I'm glad I had that structure as a child.

You see the problem with this talk is that you make it sound like the ‘human’ has been the one telling the Holy Spirit what to do with the church. So the Catholic Church became false ( the gates of hell prevailed over it) because ‘evil men’ steered the church to a direction that is not of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of God could not stop it? Well I am just saying we should trust that Jesús established the church and He made the promise of running it. If we don’t trust the Popes, let’s trust what Jesus said.
