I'm all in on gold 💯 %. I have no other investments except my house. Right now, im doing good. Got my money out of the banks many years ago. I'm so happy I have almost nothing to do with anything fiat or pays in fiat including Ira's 401k's stocks, bonds, treasuries etc. I saw this coming. Gold and a lead is all I need

gold to me is an inflation hedge for long term, but not quite profitable in the short run. luckily some find solutions in financial advisors

The issue is people have the "I will do it myself mentality" but not equipped for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since covid-outbreak to date, summing up nearly $1m.

El Erian is one of the best voices we have now, as mainstream as you can get yet incisive and willing to discuss the difficult things in a nuanced way. And as an Egyptian he understands deeply how people respond to financial turmoil and uncertainty. Of all the commentators and opinion sharers El Erian is the most senior and respectable to begin airing the concerns about de-dolarization and fiscal dominance, that gives him credibility in my book and I'm sure it's not popular. The economy pays a fortune for the services of the financial sector doing such things as providing us with a payment system, and providing safe storage for our funds for our old age. The rapid rise in the price of gold tells us that the financial sector is failing us badly, they are sucking an inordinate share of the country's wealth for themselves and delivering us very poor services.

Far more than foreign countries are buying gold. Many everyday people are buying metals due to the fear of the traditional markets and US financial system.

Look at what you are actually saying when the dollar price of gold goes up. Why does it get more valuable? Not because you get more gold....

That’s only because the U.S. dollar is the world’s reserve currency. If it loses its reserve currency status (see BRICS), then the value of gold would maintain its relevance and would be denominated in the new dominant currency.

Stocks extended their year-to-date rally following the CPI report, with the S&P 500 last up 0.8% in afternoon trading. but I don't know if stocks will quickly rebound, continue to pull back or move sideways for a few weeks, or if conditions will rapidly deteriorate.
