Tired of the "recession is coming!" threat. Risk mitigation is indeed something to consider well before setting out on inveestments. Most often than not, CFAs take care of this perfectly. People downplay the role of CFAs until being burnt by their own instincts. I was in a similar situation a few years ago; Took my chances but stocks went crashing. Realizing I wasn't good at timing the market, I started working with an Adviser, which helped me build a $1.6m portfolio.

Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2024. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capita income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.
@eloign7147Ай бұрын
In light of the ongoing global economic crisis, it is crucial for everyone to prioritize investing in diverse sources of income that are not reliant on the government. This includes exploring opportunities in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the challenging economic situation, it remains a favorable time to consider these investments.
@rogerwheelers4322Ай бұрын
Gold and Silver are often seen as a safe-haven asset that can protect against inflation and economic uncertainty. But like any investment, it carries risks. To determine if gold is the right investment option for you, an investment advisor can help you weigh the potential benefits and risks of investing in gold. They can also help you create a well-diversified portfolio that includes gold as part of a broader investment strategy. An investment advisor can help you decide how much of your portfolio should be allocated to gold and select other investments that can complement your gold holdings.

The stock market is a complex system that is influenced by a variety of factors, including economic indicators, political events, and global trends. The relationship between policies and the stock market can be complex and multifaceted, and it can take time for the full effects of policies to be reflected in market trends. My take away from this is that the only reason we are not in a recession is the government spending. Isn't it the government spending that is making prices so high in the first place? For example when the government prints money and spends it on a good or service they aren't increasing the supply but instead increasing demand and lowering the supply. Its not even artificial growth. This should be considered negative growth because it only helps the supplyer and consumers of the government's policy while hurting everyone else and their needs.

This is why I entrusted a fiduciary with my investmnt decisions. Many underestimate advisors until emotions lead to losses. My advisor crafted a tailored strategy aligning with my long-term goals, guiding entry and exit points for the equities I focus on. This has grown my portfolio to over $850k. My personal best so far

Curious if anyone here has tried copy trading. What was your experience? I’m relatively new to trading and I am looking study some traders and copy their open trades rather than investing myself and lose money emotionally.
@annamink6329Ай бұрын
I successfully trade in my own portfolio, and also follow others because I'm interested in their strategies. I realized I've got better at managing the trader's strategies too. There's nothing wrong at all with having someone far more dedicated manage some of your portfolio.
@bellajobb655Ай бұрын
To be 100% honest with you. I had the same question 4 years ago. I was confused as heck. Now copying other traders for over 3 years, I would like to tell you, YES copy trading is a good approach. Just keep in mind that the success of copying another trader lies in their transparency. Make sure you know who you are dealing with before copying them. My two cents. Goodluck!
@clarabekkings5505Ай бұрын
I tried copy trading, just when I started investing last Christmas. Had a poor experience, the guy I copied made many small trades, slowly loosing money. What good came out of it was that it gave me an insight into how the market really works. Make sure you do your homework!

"It's usually best to ignore the trend whether bullish or bearish and stick to a proper trading plan maybe from the help of a professional. I recently just started investing again so I am still in touch with the consultant that provides entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. She does all the technical analysis legwork while I go about my other businesses. You can use something else if you are the DIY type of guy, investing has no one way to do it".

The recession scare is surreal and the market is really panicking at this moment and I'm worried what effect this frenzy could have on my portfolio of about 80k. Could you make any recommendations on how I could preserve my portfolio during this period and also make profit from the market situation?
@Fred-w7tАй бұрын
Well, this could be a very good time to make profit from the market. But because it's a frantic period, it's often best you employ the service of a financial advisor. I was up almost 90% during the COVID crash because I was working with one.
@Jeffery-f2eАй бұрын
I had a similar experience. A financial advisor could really help you re-adjust and identify blindspots that you yourself do not notice, like mine did in advising me during COVID on how the pandemic will shape things, and I made it out big and still make up to at least 20k in dividend per month.

Recession! Crash! Inflation! It’s getting depressing. I have about $100k in emergency fund and I have been seeing good news about the stock market and would like to gain from that since I can’t let my savings be corroded by inflation. What stocks should I into as a newbie to safely grow my money.
@Martina-Alan11 күн бұрын
It’s best if you buy growth/blue-chip/large caps stocks only. Also, as a newbie its advisable you work with an investment advisor to help set up a well-structured portfolio.

I was self managing but suffered heavy losses in 2022 and i knew i couldn't continue like that, so i consulted a fiduciary financial advisor. By restructuring and diversifying my $620k portfolio with dividend-paying stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds and REITs, I significantly boosted my portfolio, achieving an annualized gain of 30%.

It’s not the interest rates. It’s the money printing, asset inflation and government spending - and not on things like ‘entitlements’. Things like our leaders living like Gods and raining down money on foreign countries like Ukraine.
