I do this. I call this type of re-use "recycling" as compared to "looping." Great track-doubling trick. Much better than Presonus' revenue-doubling trick you shared a few days ago.

This is cool but… what’s up with S17 pricing for us already pro users? I’ve been upgrading since version 3. Can I get some love, Bro?

You might hate it but doubling a track and delaying it works great in some situations. (don't slide the track in time, just use the delay on the track inspector) Most important is to know how long to delay so it doesn't cause phase shifting. Usually 17-19 ms works but it's easy to find out by just putting the tracks in mono and increasing the delay time until the phase shifting is removed. This always works on sustained sections such as guitar power chords, string and pad sustained sections and guitars playing half or whole notes among others. Great stereo effect I've used for many years.

Maybe you're right, but I've interacted with many people who THINK it works well, but they don't realize that it's causing phase problems, and the track almost disappears in mono.

I do this with vocals usually in the choruses only, then tighten up the timing in Melodyne or S1.

Hey, Joe, I just finished doing this trick with a VOCAL track. The real trick became lining up the mesh-mashed parts. Instead of cutting and moving small pieces of the second track, I used VocAlign to line them up. It worked tremendously. I did the same thing with a single BG vocal part, and because the girl singing them did different harmonies at different points it created some really, really nice parts, 3 part harmonies when you count the lead. Very cool. 👨🎤👩🎤🧑🎤

What about the ending of songs when the guitar rings out. How do we "double" that? 🤔

Nice thought and process, Joe. But I don't think it would work for me, since what I do alot of, is just use ONE take in each section, and then say, in Chorus 1, I then just copy that into Chorus 2. SO in a sense, it would like duplicating a track, just not the whole track. I do that with some verses too, unless I use a different playing style on say, verse 1 and verse 2.

Plz give us option to export stems like cubase in which we can include any fx/sends with a single click without any crazy routing💯 Studio one is perfect but in this thing its far behind even in ableton we can include send effect without any routing
@carlosjuvandes3 ай бұрын
But it’s already possible to do it. And you don’t need to do nothing. Just choose what you want and export the stems.

Export 'Channels' instead of 'Tracks' and it will include the effects chain on the channels...
@contraspower63023 ай бұрын
@@TheMaverickTaylorBand But if i have fx as a send on bus channel it doesn't include it i have a option to get separate stem as a fx. But I need one stem that includes fx as send on bus channels also, just like cubase or ableton do.

How would this compare to using the splitter tool to channel split and pan?

That doesn't do anything. Duplicating a sound and panning left and right doesn't make it stereo

The beginning of the video is kind of a bad advice. If you overdub same guitar with same settings (amp, cab…) the stereo image will be unstable, the more precise you overdub the image shrinks or goes full mono. What you do is use different guitar, different amp / cab, different pedal etc.
@HomeStudioCornerАй бұрын
That CAN happen, but as someone who has recorded thousands of guitars, I can tell you doubling with the same guitar/amp works just fine 90% of the time.

Get a reamp box and a tc electronic MIMIQ Doubler and re-record it that way. You can do it in stereo as well. I do it all the time. It’s amazing
