Thank you, thank you thank you, it's winter here and I have soup most nights for dinner I will be making this for sure I have ton's of 100% cotton so you have answered my prayers, take care and keep well and thanks again for everything.

We use things like that but we heat the bowl of soup or whatever the contents are first & then place it in the bowl holder for holding caring and keeping the contents warm while eating. My auntie even made some of them by sewing them. They are a great thing to have. So if you wanted to make them but didn't have cotton you could make them out of acrylic, but you would have to heat the bowl first and then put it into the bowl holder after the contents of the bowl has been heated, do not put them in the microwave as you said with the acrylic. Happy crocheting everyone!! 😊🤗

This pattern worked very well for a friend who has difficulty lifting things in or out of the microwave because her hands shake so bad. I made just one for her to test it out and see if it would work for her. She was soooooo excited because it worked great! Thank you for sharing your creative crocheting gift with us all! I will be making more for my friend to use 😊 I love watching your videos! May God continue to bless you and your family! Thank you 😊

Crystal, I absolutely love this. My dad is 95 and I make him cream of wheat every morning. I was using a dishtowel to take his warmed up cereal 🥣 out of the microwave but always seemed to touch the bowl. Ouch and very very hot!!! Solution solved thanks to you and this tutorial/pattern. Turned out so cute and even better, works great. I've only made one but see a few more being made very soon. How fun of a pattern yet so functional too! Thank you from all of us here in Oregon taking care of Dad 🥰. It's the little things❤️🥣🥰

I started to watch this one and then remembered that Joann's was having an Anniversary sale with free shipping no minimum... today is the last day by the way... anyhow it stopped the tutorial and had to look for it all over again... stopped so I could by cotton yarn... I ended up buying 6 skeins of Lion Brand cotton.... 💘😻 when it arrives will come back to watch and follow along to make these for 🎁🎁🎁💘😻❤💕💗♥

I was too late to get the Addi from Hobium(it's out of stock and they jacked up the price), but on a happy note I ordered one from Amazon for $160.00! Twenty dollars is not going to break me. I know it's the older machine, but Amazon is carrying both, the newer one is out of my price range. I had little extra money tucked away in my yarn fund so it went to that. Thank you so much if it wasn't for you I never would have thought to check Amazon! You always put a smile on my face. I get so excited when your video's come up. I always watch them even if I am not going to make the item. You are a great teacher, mother, wife and person. You really care about people.

I needed to use a 4.5 mm hook. I modified the pattern a bit for bowls with narrower bases and a more flared shape, and only used one color. I wasn't wild about the look of the shell/picot border (and had less stitches to work with) so after working the final increase rows, I just did a row of single crochet putting 3 sc in each of the 6 "points". The edge is sturdy and rolls over very nicely. Each took less than a ball... great way to use up single balls in my stash! Thanks.

Thank you SO MUCH, Crystal, for this tutorial! I made one and it is just what I have been looking for. I have tried making two other patterns that I found online and neither of them worked. I had to frog back to the beginning. Your pattern is FANTASTIC! It fits my Corelle soup bowls perfectly and is exactly what I was trying to make. Even my husband likes it and that's saying something because he doesn't usually pay attention to my crochet stuff. Thanks again for all you do for us who don't design things. You have a wonderful gift and are really using it well! I appreciate you!

Hi, again, Crystal! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Just want to let you know that I ended up making 66 of your soup bowl cozies to give as gifts to my friends and family. So far, everyone who has used them has loved them. I gifted them along with a Corelle 28 oz. soup bowl that fits the cozy perfectly. They made very nice, useful gifts. Thanks again for doing the tutorial. I loved it!

This is the ONLY way I make the microwave cozy bowls... Thank you Crystal!! I gave two to my niece, who took them home, and her husband asks, "what is this?"
