Love these butterflies. My aunt used to make something similar to sell at church bazaars . She used to use pipe cleaners for the antenna and put a magnet on the back to use as fridge magnets.

Oh how cool! I am always looking for different small crochet scrappy projects to make as cat toys. I make blankets, crate mats and toys for local animal shelters. This would be great to stuff with left over scrap yarn and some catnip. Could also add a crochet spiral tether or pull in place of the antennas to add extra fun.

Thank you for the turorial crystal, my mom recently passed away and her nick name was mariposa (butterfly) and I was thinking of a way to make my sisters a little remembrance of some sort, but now after seeing this video I think maybe a throw for each so that way they if they need a little warmth they can think of her giving them a hug. I mean we can buy anything now a days but making something from my heart and it seems like something my momma would do for her family. She was pretty crafty. Thanks again this made my heart happy

I'll make loads of these to put on my Christmas decorations and I'll put a clip on them that will mean the recipients can use them on their Christmas tree afterwards. I use brown paper as gift wrap because it's recyclable so my gifts need a bit extra to make them cute, at least in my opinion. Thanks for the pattern. It's really pretty.

Oh Crystal! This tutorial came at the perfect time. Our dear friends’ 4 year old daughter just lost her battle with pontocerebellar hypoplasia on Saturday and the community is doing a fundraiser and celebration of life for her later this month.
