One thing I love about Brads clear coat uv spray is the crystal clear reaction after you apply on the headlights regardless if less sunlight, that’s why I’m so confident even if some of my customers park their car inside the garage or shady location or cloudy weather, that’s huge 👍🏼there,

If you're sanding horizontal with both the 400 and 600 grit, how are you certain that you've removed the 400 grit? Why not do the 400 grit diagonally (because we all know vertical is too tedious on headlights) then go horizontal with the 600 grit so that you could see the diagonal scratches from the 400 grit disappear? I'm a novice and I'm gobbling up your knowledge. Thank you for sharing

Ask all you want! Theres a few factors, you can feel the contact get smoother as you're sanding, the sound of the sandpaper as it rubs against the headlight, the time you're sanding. The longer you sand with the 600, the clearer the outcome will be. A good rule of thumb is when the water begins to repel off the lens. After hand sanding maybe 2-4 different vehicles, you will know exactly what I'm referring to when talking about these factors. Thats not a bad strategy, and honestly a good idea to try when first starting. While you can go any direction you want at first, you want to end with 600 diagonally since that is the pattern you're spraying the clear coat.

Have you ever had a headlight come out blurry even after letting it sit for a few minutes? I have my nextgen order coming in soon. I saw someone post of video using Glass Mechanix that’s like 22 bucks a can. Same lifetime warranty and you use the same grit sandpaper 400 and 600. They came out blurry though.

I'm not familiar with the Glass Mechanix, but if its a clear coat you may be talking about the flash off effect. This is when the solvents begin to evaportate, so it can appear foggy after spraying, but clear up after a few minutes. If its blurry, I'm not sure could be poor prep work.

What do you mean by texturing?
@StartRestoringHeadlights Жыл бұрын
Texturing is just spots that didn't get enough clear coat. Its very easy to see, and easy to fix. Just spray a little more over the area.

@@StartRestoringHeadlights I haven’t used your product yet, but whenever I use clear and try to do that, I get dripping.
@StartRestoringHeadlights Жыл бұрын
@@ShoeHefner757 I understand. Drips are caused by a few different factors. Either you're too close to the lens, moving too slow, or a combination of both. If its becoming a regular thing, I'd recommend getting a can of regular clear coat from WalMart for cheap, and practice on a salvage yard headlight. While every spray can might be different, you can still get down the technique and speed for spraying

When can they wash the car?

I recommend waiting 24 hours before any pressure washing, just to be safe.
