Thanks miwa for another interesting recipe. I actually think the tuna salad recipe would be really easy to veganise as you can crush tinned chickpeas in mayo along with some nori to give it that seafood taste.xx

This noodle salad looks tasty! (I want to use my pickled plum in my fridge.) And I'd love to eat this matcha mug cake for afternoon snack (I'll make sure to add banana!). I'm very excited about your dinnerware and can't wait for the launch. Dishwasher and microwave safe would be most practical in my house. I'm glad to have been part of your Boston meetup. So sweet to hear you express your joy of watching your kids grow up. ❤

I think when your kids say "I don't know" when you ask them what their favourite dishes are, it might be a lot like when I was a kid, and an adult would ask me what I learned at school that day, and I, like most kids, said "Nothing" HAHA!

Hello! Thank you for the recipe, I tried it today, since I had my luch alone at home. It was very tasty and super quick, so I will definetely repeat it, just maybe with smaller amount of pasta, 150 grams even of soba noodles seems too much for 1 portion. But I ate in all;-)

The tableware so far is gorgeous! And yes, for me, having it be microwave and dishwasher-safe is very important. I don't currently have a dishwasher, but would like one eventually (a wheeled one because my kitchen is tiny like yours!), and I do use my 30+ year-old microwave. I need to not have to worry about my kitchenware with things like hot liquids. I enjoy cooking too much to use delicate items that I need to worry about! 😄

Miwa, more great recipes to try ! As you have demonstrated in your videos, using attractive tableware elevates each dish to make it look even more delicious, if that is even possible because they look so good when you're making them 😋😉 The bowls look very comfortable to hold, the size is good, and I would use the microwave feature to warm the bowl with hot water before using it or to reheat its contents. I would also enjoy using the red or black color because I usually cook with green, yellow and white ingredients so the black and red would balance the plating 🥰 Big hello to everyone who was at the Boston gathering 👋

@@MiwasJapaneseCooking I thought the chopsticks you showed in this video were really beautiful! I just went to Korea and a friend of mine wanted to have chopsticks as a souvenir but they were all really plain and not really special. I personally like stuff that is not too simple yet elegant. So like a small pattern or mark on it that makes it stand out from other similar tableware but in a subtle way. Especially when the symbol/ the pattern has some type of meaning behind it. Maybe a good idea for your tableware brand would be to develop a pretty logo that makes it stand out from other products? Maybe ikagai related since you talk a lot about that concept? Then you already get a friendly reminder of your values or something that resonates with you at the morning table. Just as an idea haha :) Good luck with your business! 🍀

I make a similar dressing with ume and smoked chicken, but tuna is a good alternative. You can use this dressing you made with shredded cabbage and you have a refreshing side dish, great for bento. and it goes so well with fried foods or very sweet like teriyaki tofu steak. I think it will go well with grilled eggplant and tomato as well to make a dish. I've tried sobayu but it's not my favourite, even though it is healthy. I love matcha, and I recently got a set of very high quality matcha. So want to try making a cake with it for me but a whole loaf is too much. I will try this mug cake. First with the regular matcha to see how my microwave temperatures are. I never had one with rice flour :) I was thinking some shiratama, fruit and kuromitsu for a Japanese style dessert :) Oh and kinako of course hahaha I hope your youngest will have a great time in elementary school. I have the same feeling as you. In only one year my daughter will go to secondary school (she skipped a class so she'll start at age 11) it's so strange.
