Thin strings such as this one are as sharp as razorblades and cut through a seal’s skin like butter. Fortunately, there was no scar or any other visible sign of injury yet, and the seal pup would never know how dangerous his situation was. He is strong and healthy and will hopefully live a long and pain free life. Very few animals are disturbed during the rescue and the team moves on to the next animal in need.

Our efforts are just a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of tonnes of trash entering the world's oceans every year. We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. These videos aim to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

Hi all! Fast and easy! But this is only thanks to the experience and daily rescue operations of these particular rescuers. I’m not sure that any man could run with this net, and so deftly catch a seal, and even more deftly and quickly get to its neck and cut the rope, and even guess on which shoulder the knot is, and even speak kindly to the seal. )) Thanks guys! Today is May 1, 2024. This amazing channel has 1.92 million subscribers (the number has not changed for 12 days. Disgrace!!! We are waiting for another 80,000 subscribers!) Subscribe if you have not already done so. By subscribing, liking, commenting, donating and reposting, you help save seals. And also an addition from the comment: “Allow the video to run in the background and let the additions take their course. And all this can be done with multiple yt accounts and it's all free, but OCN helps" My dear friend

Hi. I like your added message. Your English is really good, but where you have used the word 'additions', I think you may prefer to use 'adverts' and I think you may want to say 'helps OCN'. I hope you don't mind, but I am thinking that some readers may need to translate your comment to their own language, and it may get muddled. I just thought you would want to know if you.are going to add it daily😊 Good wishes, and I really do hope for peace for your country soon💙

I have an odd question, but in many cases when whales are caught up in debris, and divers or boaters assist in the removal, the animal realizes what you are doing or did. In many cases they offer a "thank you". I get the impression that these animals don't seem to understand what is going on and rush away as though they were under attack. Some do seem to understand, but do they understand or is their reaction due to the pain of the removal of the debris that is cutting into them? I know it is traumatizing to be tangled up in our trash, and then to be captured and put in nets for their care. Just was wondering how much communication there is between humans and animals of that level of intelligence.
