Excellent, simple to understand. Nice graphics show what you are explaining. TOP TIPS are good and useful. The teacher has obviously navigated around the world for real. Thank you for this. I believe I have seen examples which use seconds. How do they relate to the decimal increments?

Good question. Many moons ago we used to use seconds to subdivide minutes the same as we do for time. However now that will use computers in our daily life, it's found to be more convenient to use decimals of a minute rather than seconds. Purely because decimals are as per the name suggests, units of 10 rather than units of 60. Units of 60 tend to confuse a computer and make the calculation more complicated and time consuming.
