This is another lockdown cooking recipe so it is NOT a traditional recipe... it is all about making something out of what we can find in our cupboards! and if you hoard spices like me you can make biriyani!!
dont worry if you dont have all the spices you can even use curry powder as well! just improvise with what you have this is just an idea!
Ingredients
For the veg curry
Mixed vegetables
1tsp garlic ginger paste
2 heaped tablespoons greek thick yoghurt
1heaped tsp garam masala (yes I said coriander/cumin but this was wrong!)
1heaped tsp chilli powder
1tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
For the rice
1/2stick cinnamon
300g basmati rice
5 cloves
6 cardamom seeds
1tsp cumin seeds
Make sure you boil the rice in plenty of water or it will stick together and not be lovely and singular grains
Rose water and yellow food colouring optional
Mint and coriander to garnish
