@@jasonlong9196 This motherboard would not allow an overclock of an unlocked cpu or a base frequency boost with a locked one. For the latter, one needs a DDR5 motherboard from the likes of ROG Strix. Turbo Boost is always on unless you disable it in Bios or using Throttlestop.

@@udayvickyka1366 You have better specs than me 😂 I have: Pentium E2200 DDR2 2x1GB GT 610 250GB SSD 750GB HDD, I don't use it anymore, else I'll lose what I have on it because it's in a bad condition. 160GB HDD, It's 13 year old, as old as my PC, it have it's issues and gives me a hard time sometimes but I'm broke so I have no choice but to use it 😂😂😂

Hi there, Thank you for the video. I have an unclear area in your video. You have fixed 2 8GB rams that works in 2666MHz. But in the summery (bios home screen right after the processor speed) It displays total capacity correctly (16GB) & the ram speed as 1333MHz. The RAM speed must be 2666MHz, but why is it displayed as 1333MHz(before & after enabling XMP)?

Hello, you can't do much with power limits with this motherboard...and even in a good B660, it didn't seem to make much difference in benchmarks. The I7 and I9...completely another story. I don't remember seeing any issues with thermal or power limit throttling with the I5 in this motherboard. Now, to really max this thing...you need an Asus D5 motherboard that allows Base Clock Frequency adjustment. If you are talking that kind of max potential...than this thing and most other motherboards are complete failures.

Hello friends, I bought this mother together with a 12 gen i3. and 16 gb ram, I can't get my disk to boot and I can't get usb pemdrive to start with win10/11 instalation , I tried changing usb options, gpt etc. The installation never starts. I can't get any ssd or hd to start windows with windows pre-installed No matter the file format or boot system/ bio. Pendrive and hd appear as devices in the bios! In short, they do not start windows installers devices (pendriver, hd or dvd) nor disks with windows already installed (hd or ssd Sata) in both cases it freezes when the windows circle appears----HELP ! !

Yes I do. You may be able to squeeze a little more out of it with a Z690 or midrange B660..but nothing like I7 or I9. One of first 12th gen motherboards was H610m..paired with I5

@@LiegeMaximo its not lagging or anything ..its perfect...and if you want to buy b660 don't buy it currently cause msi have a new board coming up that can improve performance up to more than 30% ..see hardware unboxed recent uploads these are the things i bought ( jst to give you an idea) Msi Mag forge 100r -Case(nothing better than this at this price point ..best value for money) asus H610 two 8 gigs - vengenc some case fans.. antec psu will buy s2721dgf later cz its da best price to perf(better than m27q ) and cheaper as well redragon k617 (best keyboard for me ..insane stablizers ...insane rgb..good keycaps...good switches...hot wappable..average build quality ..and its very cheap in my country )

Single core gets to a max of 4.25 or so. Upgraded Noctua cooler. Gaming from AB gives right below 4GHz kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqLWlK1sd6mGpqM

It would depend on a couple of things..1) How much to upgrade! 2) Do you plan to buy better RAM? 3)Which B660 or B660m..because some of them are almost as bad..features. VRMs..etc

good to know power limits can be unlocked but the VRMs do not have any heatsinks on them. I would assume it would thermally throttle the 12700f.

have the b660 prime asus and 12400f, cant boot over 3100mhz 3200 i get F1 and reset... first time i updated bios it did let me but was having issues with ram blue screens and stuff... then i couldnt go pass 3100mhz... at least is stable now in gamign no much diff at all but... at least i wanted the advertised 3200mhz wich is supposed to recognize out of box according to oficial page from intel :(

There are a lot of reasons to do it... performance improvements...hardware compatibility.. security updates...13th gen. If you feel your computer is running great and see nothing gained by reading the descriptions if all the bios revisions..you can wait

I think most users will be fine with the stock cooler. The only situation is if you were to buy one of the DDR5 boards that allow BLCK Frequency adjustment....you potentially would need to upgrade. For the I7 and I9s (locked one yet to be released), I would definitely say upgrade as they can really take advantage of power limits (PL1 and PL2) and get quite hot.

Yes, even if you get a motherboard like the Asus Z690-P that I have which has PCIE 5.0...it will do 5.0, 4.0 and 3.0.
