I was getting rid of some accounts I subscribed to, as I get too many notifications daily, and was about to unsub from you because I have little interest in kayak fishing. I'm glad I watched this video, because I was reminded why I did subscribe. I didn't subscribe for your kayak vids, nor even fishing. I subbed because of you. You're are soothing to listen to, while being interesting and humble enough to get points across; and I learn something here and there. Thanks for the vids Marty.

I love your channel. I was looking for a video to learn more about installing an inboard motor and found one of your first videos. Here I am having watched about 15 of your videos today and am hooked. Thanks for all the awesome content you put out. I find it so helpful to learn so much as I just purchased the plans to build my own 40 foot cruiser from scratch. It will be one of my biggest challenges in my life as I’m starting the build at age 63. Thank you so much for your inspiration! I would be a privilege to meet and go fishing with you some day in the future. Rene

Great video, Marty. I am glad to hear that you intend to rely on solar and/or wind for power. You may consider switching to propane cooking since the electric requires so much current. And, it's nice not to have to start a generator just to have a cup of coffee. Propane does have it's risks, but even storing a generator with gasoline is risky. Great to see you getting the boat out and gaining confidence.

BTW--Great job docking. I have a sailboat, so I have nowhere near the backing control you've got. I generally snug up to one of the pilings, secure a line from it, then pivot back. Looks like you don't have room for that. But you make it work. Good on ya.
@petesampson42737 жыл бұрын
I've eaten my bait lots of times. When I lived in San Diego I would make sure I had enough squid for calamari but my favorite is chicken livers. Roll them in flour and then saute them in butter with chopped shallots. Once they are well browned; deglaze the pan with an ounce or so of white wine to make a nice gravy. Then comes the special part. I serve them in "toast cups". Simply take a few pieces of white bread, cut off the crust, and then jam them down into a muffin tin to form cups. Pop them under the broiler until well toasted and then scoop in the chicken liver and gravy. It might not sound good. Heck! If I was just reading about I would just say "yuck" and move on. But? Mom made them when I was young and the aroma got me to try them. Delicious!

Marty, funny story...my in laws are Asian and live with my wife and I.. I live in Atlanta and fish Florida monthly. I just could not find the frozen mullet that I bring back from my fishing trips. One day, as my wife and I returned home from a fishing trip, I sadly told my mother in law that we didn't catch any keepers, she was down but helped us to clean up when she noticed my frozen mullet...."AH, you were just kidding me" she said, "you brought back my favorite!!" Well, I guess I found out where my bait has been going...😳. Enjoy the vids Marty!!
