Thanks!! Came about in the 90's when "fluffy bracelets" were popular and many of my customers wanted a way to do it with less than 100 headpins.. LOL, necessity will always be the mother of invention!!! aloha!! jamie

Very nice, never seen this technique before. It could be used on chain bracelets, leather bracelets, necklaces, etc. There was quite a bit of cord wasted though, which, for people like me on a restricted budget, isn't good, so I would use less cord, closer to the final desired length. That's the only thing I would change though.

The way you threaded on the beads to a 4 thickness thread is unclear did you stiffen the end?

aloha! We didn't stiffen the stretchy cord, but we do use a tiny bit of fishing line as a "fake needle" to pull it through!

I sure wish you would have been open back in the day I lived in Ewa Beach! Ok, dying to know how did Rex. modify the clip board? I can see basically what he did; however, not quite sure how to detach the clip portion from the board and once you have the piece of wood attached, how to reattach the clip? Is this something I could special order or do you offer it for sale? I am a long way from Oahu these days. So glad I stumbled upon your videos. You all make amazing things. Please let me know about the board. Many thanks and Mahalo! Barb from Greenwood, Indiana.

Lovely bracelet 💚 I would like to know what type of “stretchy cord” you use. What size and is it silicone or spandex? I’m in the UK and we name things differently to the US. Those pliers are fab, never seen one like that here!
@thebeadgallery5 жыл бұрын
Hi! Unfortunately there is no official name for the cord we are using. We get it from Hong Kong and it's more of a "floss" than a thread so it doesn't have a thickness size. We can however, fit 4 strands through a 20-18 gauge hole. Good luck!

Great Tutorial. BUT, I don't like the fact that the knot is near the focal beads. I prefer it on the back. Also, you didn't glue it to secure it. And stretch bracelets need the glue, otherwise, it will slide out eventually.
