I thought the diff spacer would be so much more complicated, nice video a lot of worries at ease

Did you need spacers for the OEM skid plate as well? I ordered a kit from total chaos and now thinking I might need a kit that includes spacers for the skid plate to go with the diff drop

when you installed differential drop spacer kit you had no problems installing the skid plate ????

Did you have to get longer bolts for the Skid plate, I've been told I order to install diff drop it won't be possible to put the skid plate back on with out getting longer bolts?

Yes I did for my 97 taco most kits come with it

Your trd skid did touch diff or diff support arms? Mine does..

@@off-roadyotaz5544 How many pieces of the spaces have you put on the TRD PRO skid plate? I knew 6 bolts holding the plate, so need all 6, or just 4 of them in the rear? Thank you

whats the torque specs

So how much lift can you do without requiring the front diff drop or carrier bearing spacer on a 2016 Tacoma? I have heard if you go less than 2" of lift then it's not neccessary, is that true or not? Thanks

We recommend always doing a diff drop to even out the axle angles
@MikeD-zo8rs3 жыл бұрын
Hey don't do it if you are under 3 inches you can cause permanant damage to the front diff it will not lubricate properly and is bad if you off road you will bring the diff to close to.the skid plates fair warning.

@@MikeD-zo8rsthanks for the alternative insight. I’m gonna do a 2” max front level and I really don’t want a diff drop

it this necessary for a 2" lift on 3rd gen 4wd trd sport?
@off-roadyotaz55444 жыл бұрын
You want a diff drop whenever you do any kind of lift to even out the axle angles
@jcolv164 жыл бұрын
@@off-roadyotaz5544 I disagree on 3rd gen. More issues if you snag it off roading. The spacers push them down lower so easier to catch on rocks. From talking to several off road Toyota mechanics and talking to people that have had issues. If you never off road I guess you could do it. Still. No point really
