I am a dancer, coming late to it in life. I started my dancing with Casino Rueda, buying the 3 video set The Quick and Dirty Guide to Salsa. Since then I danced salsa socially every day up until the lurgy. Bloody pandemic. I started with salsa but then I got into ballroom. I bought all of the dance Vision videos and many many others from world class teachers. Bronze Silver and Gold level in 10 different ballroom dances. I became a Dancesport National.Champion and professional social dancer on the cruise ships. THE QUICK AND DIRTY GUIDE TO SALSA is the best Dance instructuon video set I've ever seen. It really is a wonderful tool which carefully builds the dancers knowledge. Gigi is a wonderful teacher and she explains and demonstrates so well. I highly recommend these videos'!

These are all Rueda moves. LOVED your video and have all of the DVD's when they first came out. These are the BEST instructional Salsa videos and I have looked at lot of them.

My problem after having many lessons in mainstream salsa is tying the moves together into a flow. What I like about Cuban style is that there is a nice circular movement instead of just lines back and forth.

Just do a cross-body lead during your regular salsa and go into a guapea (push away from her left hand instead of pushing into it). Once you're in guapea, you can do the rueda moves. When you want to go back to "regular" salsa, do another cross-body lead and resume.

I appreciate the attempt to simplify the counting. But doing so 123456 is betraying the way the real counting is done...not to mention the rhythm. Salsa beats are numbered as 123(pause)567(pause)123...

Sandor Clegane there is only one salsa music and started in nyc by puertorricans. If you all want to start your own salsa music and dances that is fine with me . That sounds like some colombian misic with some columnian dances. Go to a puertorrican tutorial and will see the diffrence inf the music and dances
