I think for me I hated this set at first because WOE was so great. I killed with that limited format. I struggled with Karlov. Growing on me for sure. Given the choice I lean more tword karlov 4/5 times. Waiting for new sets and stacking tokens / gems. Just using gold reserves for now until they run low

If Magic is too frustrating at any point in time, I completely understand. I do love Magic and played since the same era you started. But I couldn't imagine playing some of these formats as much as you, and I commend and thank you for it. Success or failure, I think a lot of people would agree that we are here to watch you, the person. Not the game. You are entertaining, funny, relatable, and all around a good dude. If you played something else, I'd watch too. Just wanted to give you some kind words, especially when things get rough. Because your content helps us all out when times are difficult in our lives. Thank you for the video! I enjoy occasional Quick Drafts as I personally almost always play Quick Draft due to smaller entry fee. And I think it's interesting where these two formats differ. I found that generally you see fewer rares/mythics after pick 2 in Quick Draft as bots tend to take the stronger individual card vs. the on-color synergy. That said, you may be able to get more synergistic decks as you often get passed multiple copies of a lot of "second row" cards.

I've done 3 quick drafts and have had 7 wins, 5 wins and 5 wins. I went green/red, green/red and blue/black. The bots do make some weird picks though, I think they fight for white a lot - at least that's what I have seen from my small sample set.

I liked seeing a quick draft on here, it's actually my preferred format because I like the absence of time pressure. I've found that the decks are often weaker than a "real" draft because, as others have said, the bot seems to take the strongest individual card rather than going for archetypes. This means you can't really deter it from taking cards in your niche unlike real people, and you tend to end up with a lot of cards that aren't playable in your deck. That said, there are definitely cases where the bot undervalues a card/archetype

Done with mkm personally. Finding it comes down to who has the better tempo draw more of the time. Wish there was more ways to outplay your opponent but it is what it is

Exactly this. Aggro tempo plays are better than anything else in this format, I've never seen combat tricks, auras, and team pump effects be this good in a format.

Quick Draft doesn't actually tend to lead to stronger decks, since bots rare-draft.

Not really with MKM, the bots prioritize the cheap white cards more then mythics. They also tend to hate black and blue cards in particular.

Had a nice streak of 5-7 winners but today i just lost way too much. Feels like this set is very unforgiving to anyone who wants to have a bit of fun with it. Just curve out and use tricks and removal.

Once again, I think your frustration (and mine!) is mana screw and mana bloat. Any interest in playing a limited format where you can draw from your deck or a lands pile? This way we all get to play magic and not get so frustrated? Just make good, smart plays and allow people to just play magic. I'm not sure the best way to get traction on it, but I've played it quite a bit in the early days and it was super fun and interesting without the frustration.

thats genuinely the only good thing about quick draft, you can draft at your own pace. Im not gonna lie, I am impatient as hell, and there is always that one teferi avatar that has to ponder every single pick for eternity, all the packs stalling and everybody just waiting for one really slow player oh and by the way, it wasnt just guilds that was broken (you could draft absolutely insane dimir decks), ravnica allegiance had the gates deck problem (bots would pretty much completely ignore gates, leading to absolutely insane multicolor gates ablaze piles) and the original eldraine had the mill problem (secretkeeper was ignored by bots)

Judith is a BOMB would have killed in this deck. I guess shock helped, but I think I would have went the other way and gone 3 colors and just played bombs. Errata just wins games as well. Turn 3 against 2/2 wards they either lose the face down or give you one on the play at least. On the draw if it sticks around it ends games fast.

honestly your mistake was from draft. You opened Etrata and chose not to build around her in favor of izzet control. the double exit specialists should've made it extremely easy to build dimir aggro but i guess izzet was your comfort pick? i just found your drafting very odd. I stuck around to watch your games but yeah i completely expected you to lose it definitely wasn't a 7-0 type of draft in the first place but honestly just going even was going to be a struggle because like you said the deck had no bombs. I will say however to the benefit of your last few words, MKM is a very boring set to play so i don't disagree.

Yeah, Quickdraft is ranked. I play it primerely because it's so annoying how alot of peoples at european time are stalling in player drafts. There is most of the time at least 1 person stalling all the packs. It's to boring. So Quickdraft ftw
