This is a sewing and drafting tutorial for a simple circle cardigan! It has just 2 pattern pieces and comes together very easily - anyone can make it! It is also super comfy and so very stylish. I just love watching your videos. Im new to sewing and just love it.. I was wondering if at some point you you could show us how to draft a simple A line skirt th at could be made from like a cotton fabric for everyday wear. I want something I can wear like a simple t-shirt with and just clean house and quick trips out and about but look put together.

I'm thinking that if you did it in a cotton, or linen, but lined it with a different print, and then did shorter sleeves (3/4) it could make a lovely transition jacket for spring or fall.... Would lining it give the waterfall drape? or would I need to interface some of it as well?

Kiri, hi! I would think 2 layers of cotton/linen without interfacing will do! Especially when you hem it, it will add some weight to it as well! Great idea to make it for spring!

Evelyn, then instead of a circle you would make an oval, shorted side will be the length, longer side will be the width (bust). Hope this helps!

alisa im a bit confused on this circle cardigan u said 22 lenght 22 width and then use ur own measurments where does ur own measurement come in thank you

Use your own measurement for the length and the width, you will need more or less depending on what is your size and how do you like your cardigan to be.

I’ve never heard of fit to stitch either but I’ve definitely seen a lot of circle coats around from many years ago.

I don’t appreciate you calling her out as stealing. This is not an exclusive style or a unique one. Anyone with intermediate to advanced skills could draft this pattern-especially someone as versed/comfortable with dimensions. If you could show a pattern of her duplicating other patterns this other woman has put out, you might have a leg to stand on. This was not cool. 🤨

Funny, Peggy "borrows" ideas from famous designers, then shows how to adapt one of her patterns to make a designer "knock off." This site explains/demos much better. Both ladies are very talented at pattern drafting.
