Love this, the hat looks exactly how id want it ! Most crochet tutorials for this style of bucket hat have flimsy brims whereas this looks like it keeps its shape really nicely. Will definitely give this a try 🥰 thank you for sharing your patterns!!!

How can I adjust the size of the hat? After the 11sc, 1inc and the sc in each stitch?
@Tak-z9p4 ай бұрын
Probably it will become bigger if you continue increasing numbers
@kristinadrilon76912 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you for the tutorial. I am currently working on this project now. Just wanted to know, how do I adjust the size of the hat after the 13th round? The top part of the hat seems smaller than what I needed it to be. Do I just keep increasing (from 11 sc, 1 dc, do I move forward with 12 sc,1 dc, 13 sc 1 dc... ?) Thank you!

Giving this bucket hat a try but mine is not staying flat, its wavy... is anyone having this issue? I tried a larger hook, smaller hook etc and same issue. I have kept going with a 4.5mm hook and am currently on row 10. I am trusting the process as of right now but I'm not too confident lol HELP!

@lindag.35329 ай бұрын
Hey! Try not to hold your yarn too tight. Relaxing the stitch will prevent the folding. A larger hook does help but relaxing your grip is the key! Happy Crocheting!!
@syazahaifa.y9 ай бұрын
@@lindag.3532 hmmm actually I just keep my tension moderately, same tension as the upper part. Not too tight. But it still wavy 😢

You have to let people know what size yarn you use. Especially in a beginner video
@kandihenderson722610 ай бұрын
It doesn't really matter as long as the yarn says it uses that size hook
@cwright8218 ай бұрын
It says in the description: "About 250 yards of yarn (I used one skein of 'Bernat Softee Baby cotton)" and a comment further up says that yarn is a DK one.

Can you please explain why we need to count rows even if it's just repeated stitches? I'm absolute beginner so I have very little idea that's why I'm asking.............
@cwright8218 ай бұрын
If you don't count the rows the hat may end up too shallow to cover from the top of your head to your ears, or the brim will be too short to keep the sun out of your eyes. Also, if you make too MANY rows the hat might end up too big 😉 Counting stitches is also a very good idea because it is easy to forget to do the increase stitches and end up with too few - or to do too many increases - and therefore the width of the hat will be affected.

Hi there, I am a beginner with a much thinner cotton yarn than the one in the video. How would you suggest I adjust the pattern to accommodate my yarn? Thanks :-)
@jenm47215 ай бұрын
Use a smaller crochet hook, you may need to make a couple of swatches to see what fabric you like the best from the different hooks. Look at the label on your yarn to see what size hook they suggest. If your guage is smaller than hers, then you will problably need to continue increasing beyond the stitch counts that she has.
