I love how you use a ribbon for stitch markers. You are right if you keep moving a marker then it makes it harder to frog it and know where you are. I am going to try using that method.

this is such a cute lil monster, great tut Crystal, thanks for sharing :) I'd never tried the dbl magic circle before. it was very hard for me to do with cotton handicrafter yarn, but I can easily see it being much easier with regular yarn and plan to use it for my grannies.

It took me about 20 tries before I got the double magic circle correct. Even after that I had problems frequently until I did the tips I gave you. It does get easier and 100% worth the effort to learn. No more going back to sew in the hole because it comes open. This way it is not budging! Yay!
