Omg I never thought about using two yarns together like this. I've seen people do it for thickness, but not for decoration! I love that, will definitely try this, thank you :D

I love crochet jellyfish, they’re too cute, but this one is extraordinary. It’s amazing. I can’t wait to finish this for a Xmas present for my neighbour, who is also a crocheter. If it turns out good, which I think it will I will, be making loads of these for markets and my family and friends!!! Support from the UK

Btw I used a 4.5 mm hook and flutterby chunky yarn. For round 5 instead of sc around I continued my increasing rounds for 3 more then sc around

How many balls of each yarn are needed?
@jessicafeazell64549 ай бұрын
For anyone wondering, one skein of each (I didn’t use the brands in video either) was more than enough for one jelly fish. I am in the process of making three! I’ll run out of white bulky soon after that but the colorful skein might last forever. 😆
@amandabunyard10417 ай бұрын
Do you know how much of the white yarn you used? I have a small bit but I'm not sure if it's enough
@reigningcharmz7 ай бұрын
I don’t know exactly how much but usually one skein with 186 yards is enough with some left over. I hope this helps!

How much yarn did you use for the octopus body ?

Heyy I wanted to ask something. I want to make the big chubby dinosaur but my yarn isn't thick enough so it will come smaller. If in the start I do 12 sc in the mr instead of 6 will it make it bigger???
@reigningcharmz10 ай бұрын
Doing 12 sc in the mr instead of 6 for the first round and then continuing like normal will just make it to where the head isn’t pointy and is more flat. If you want to make it bigger you can try doubling up on the yarn you’re using and using a bigger hook ☺️
@virg.d10 ай бұрын
@@reigningcharmzokk what If I continue doubling all of my stitches will it make it bigger??
@reigningcharmz10 ай бұрын
@@virg.d I believe it may turn out a bit wonky if you try that. The best method is to double up on the yarn and increase the hook size ☺️
@virg.d10 ай бұрын
@@reigningcharmz ok I will try the double up on the yarn method! Thank you!!! 😊😊
@destinyuribes1105 ай бұрын
Double or triple your yarn like she does with the head here using two or three strands of yarn will make it thicker alot thicker just make sure u use the right gauge hook.

Would this work if I didn’t do both yarns also for the tentacles can I do fluffy yarn??
@reigningcharmz3 ай бұрын
@@veronicalynch3210 it will! It will just turn out a little different, and you may need less tentacles if the fluffy yarn is a heavier weight ☺️

I love this pattern. My only concern is I see small pieces of the yarn coming off. This could be dangerous for a small baby if they swallowed.

You don't stuff the head?
@reigningcharmz10 ай бұрын
You do! There’s instructions after you sew 75% of the belly to the head, leave a small gap and stuff the head, then continue on finishing sewing the belly to the head
