Quick Fix for the Atem USB Contrast issue???

You may need to use the "deprecated" version of the video capture source in OBS.

Was over here getting all bummed out - for the life of me, I couldn't get the 709 option to show up for me. Came down here to see if anybody else was having the same issue. Lo and behold... The deprecated version worked! Finally. I'm comparing three sources/captures now: 1) The original USB-C video capture - super contrasty, darker darks, crushed, sad 2) The HDMI OUT (monitor) of the into a CamLink 4K - looks as expected, maybe a little less saturation than what I'm seeing on my FX3 screen, but hard to tell 100% 3) New (depricated) video capture, with the 709/full settings - looks great, very close to the HDMI out (#2)

Thank you for documenting this. Useful info! I use the USB for ISO recordings so does to apply to me. I hope you could use USB c recording and Multiview over same usb with a dongle as you can record to multiple disks. But that would not be doable event with a firmware update because on webcam capture mode computer is the host and on ssd recording stem is the host of the usb bus. Blackmagic pushing their cloud if the support for recording to a network share comes to ATEMs which might happen then usb webcam capture (program/mv) would be extremely useful for many situations.

Is this problem also in Vimeo's Livestream Studio. Can you test it and see if there's a workaround.

It's a problem. I started playing with video settings of the ATEM Video I put in Livestream Studio (Lift and Gamma specifically) but don't have a satisfactory solution yet

My ATEM MINI PRO is not sending video feed from it HDMI OUT to a capture card. What do you think I can do

@@bridlearts3605 can you see the capture card in software? Plug hdmi into tv and see if it works there.

🤦🏻‍♂️ I wish I knew of this 3 years ago!!!! Hahaha we upgraded to the constellation this year! BTW, I found out that running USB out of the ATEM Mini Pro into a Windows computer did not have the same compression problems as it does with Mac. So, we just used a windows cpu for a while to run OBS. if anyone is on windows (or has one laying around that you were hoping to never have to use again 😂) this might be a solution for you. That CPU happened to die shortly after we bought the constellation so we are all back to Mac now.

I tried that and noticed no difference. My ATEM Comsolation 1 M/E doesn’t seem to crush the color levels.

Well my atem 2me USB was better than the atem mini extreme but not correct.

@@RylandRussell Ya i did everything with OBS you had in your video i compared the 2 and noticed no Diffrence they both looked the same. could it be the computer i am running is very high end? i got a 10th Gen i9 10900f with a Asus graphics card 8GB 32 GB of RAM. for running Propresenter
