Try this. When you enter the fog.. look left and there's a small office but dont go inside yet. You should position yourself aligned with the window office. Shoot Gorefist from afar and he will come right to you with the ground slashing sword attack when he's near dodge forward and run to the left office. Try to stay close in the right window and if you're lucky enough he will be locked in animation walking to the small stairs where you can shoot him from the window. When he calls on his minions, either shoot them when they are near Gorefist or just point your reticle at the door and you can easily shoot them as they're bottled up. Try not to move much as the animation lock can reset and Gorefist can enter the office just climb out the window. Good luck

I've died so many times and still haven't beaten him. Solo or Co-op, no luck. Followed advice but still get killed, can't get him even close to half health. I understand a game being hard, but this is just insane.

Its a lot easier when you get your dodges mastered. If you have the rattle weed mod that can help you a lot when dealing with the adds. His way sounds pretty good, but I've found running around and kiting him in the open area to the north east when you enter the room to be the easiest way for me to kill him

@@Cobravenom69 The game just feels small now (running open world area to dungeon and repeat to get strong enough, and while none of the rest of the game is open, the world feels small) . I don't even know the mod your talking about as atm it seems I'm limited to what I can do. I don't mind grinding, but jeez, a tad bit easier won't break the game.

I think a best method is to stay downstairs. Next to the rooms with stairs, theres a clean, long area where you can stay at a distance from Gorefist. Bait his running attack, roll through him, and go to the other end of the room, shoot constantly, repeat. Make sure you allways stay at distance so this is the only attack he can use against you. Since you arent against any walls you can dodge in any direction in case a boomob catches you offguard (unlike the upstairs hallway). Since Gorefist can never chainhit you, and mobs cant surround you, this becomes a much predictable, manageble fight.

I had a tough time with this when I was starting out, the thing is I didn't "cheese" him. I just went to widest area of the arena and kited him there. Now, the mobs can be baited or delayed to explode, I had to learn to time my dodge to WHEN they detonate and not before they detonate. Then it should be smooth sailing from there... as long as he doesn't accidentally toss one at you during his 3-swing combo.

I’m trying to get through this one after playing 2 and oh my god it is actually a chore at this point. I can’t find anyone who can help me online. I’ve upgrade my weapons to+5 and my armor at +3. Those mobs will always find a way to come around a corner, explode behind it so I can’t even see them to react, and knock me right into a combo of other bombers ready to go off. It’s actually the furthest from fun I’ve had in a game this year. It’s fine to have a boss that encourages you to co op like this one obviously intends to do, but really keeping that gimmick once servers are dead is straight up garbage

if u have iron sentinel mod (not pozsible if this is ur first boss) u can basically just trap him with the 2 turrets if u place it correctly cause AI is just...

There's no reason to not have the SMG. With that, just grind the sewer enough to max it out and buy the Hot Shot mod for it. Then you have the highest DPS and can also put Burning on Gorefist so he'll take damage even when you're running away from him.

So I've been trying for a solid 4 1/2 hours now and the closest I've gotten was the middle of the second bar and then he just one shots me from across the room. NTM no matter what hit it is, I'm sent flying so hard that the pillars do damage apparently. I've died more times from nothing while in the air than the mobs somehow physically pushing me into a corner by constantly staggering me. Haven't even died from the boss once. THIS is the first boss? Then either make a lower difficulty or don't give solo as an option. This is a fun game no doubt but it's clearly not meant for solo players.

I killed the boss before I watched this video. Loved the fight! Very first time playing this game. Took me about 30 mins to get through it figuring out mechanics. I used the hunting rifle with drifter pieces, since hunter set gives you nothing here. Ran out of rifle ammo and boss had around 2 bars left. Finished with smg. You can do it boys

Well... he only spawns rot warts when he activates mantle of thorns (when he starts glowing), and they always spawn out of your LoS, so always stay on the move and when he glows look around for rot warts. As long as you can kill them before they get to you it's not too bad, besides they only spawn 2-4 at a time. Always run away from him and keep your distance because he has no ranged attacks, and don't get greedy. Do take consolation in that he's actually one of the hardest bosses in the game. and most other bosses you can kill first try.
