Quick replacement of an iPhone 11 battery that was previously replaced with aftermarket. The battery still had the tag on the flex that allows the modification of the battery health when the original BMS is transferred to a new battery.

What is that blue sticker that you put and then peel of after placing a new battery?

The small blue plastic is protective film for the battery, and the second larger one is display adhesive that goes around the frame ( water proof seal )

Need help, so I just need to install the old battery with the tag on flex powered the phone on and off then move the tag on flex to the new battery?

Power on the device with non genuine battery to trigger the error message. Take the original BMS and installed it on the new battery. Attach tag flex to the new battery with the original BMS and reprogram health / cycles . Power on the iPhone with the battery with the flex still attached. You can remove the flex once you are sure everything is showing correctly. Please note that this is not so easy and if this is your first repair i recommend seek technical help from professional

I usually recommend battery replacement if the battery is at 80% or below . No need to hurry with this if the battery still holds good. Enjoy your new iPhone :)

@@natemuna don’t know really , depends on the condition,box,accessories, storage and so on . But i think they go bit lower than that , might be wrong but 500ish. Other than that I really like the model , quite durable and I prefer it over the newer ones ( but thats me )

You know the that the only way to get original battery is from Apple or take it from another iPhone ? But aftermarket battery costs between 10-25 USD

Hard to tell without testing . You can take the phone to a professional for diagnostic or you can try reading the panic logs if there are any / use panic log analyser /

Well it depends, but in general you can’t be sure the device is waterproof even with the display seal replaced. Gettin back the battery health requires spot welding and additional equipment. But in general i think aftermarket batteries are as good as the original ones.

Usually I don’t charge for this especially if you provide the part . However if you are looking for a quote check with a local repair shop . I do this as a hobby not a business

Hello, if you are looking to do it yourself the battery costs 10-15 USD depending on were you buy it from . At Apple is 89 USD , as for independent service the price varies.

@@pras242 oh that’s pricey . If only the battery is the issue and you don’t mind the broken glass find place were only the battery can be replaced . For 400 you might be able to get second hand phone …

Hello there ,it’s hard to tell without testing, however from what you shared you might need to check the charging port as they sometimes go bad. Also try charging the phone with another cable.

@@Trasha7130 from what you’ve described that the phone charges normally wirelessly , but experiencing issues with cable i can only suspect cable / charging port issue . It’s hard for me to give exact solution without having the device for testing. If you don’t have experience in repairing best option is to get professional help or if you are still under warranty to visit Apple store.

Well depends were you live and who is doing it . If you do it yourself and do not care about loosing battery health it will cost you 10-13 usd . If you seek help in repair shop or Apple the price will go up by a lot.

Nope , it won’t delete anything on your phone . I aways recommend doing backup prior repair just in case something goes wrong .

Screens are held by good adhesive and brackets on the side . I recommend to be careful as the screen can break/ rip the ribbon cable if you pull too much . Pre heat the screen ( hair dryer will work too) and drop of iso can soften the adhesive. So heat,alcohol and gentle start from the bottom 😉

Thats a good question, they are OEM non branded standard capacity batteries. They come in white non branded boxes from my supplier as i don’t advertise any brand .

That is really cool , if you have interest in this go for it and if you can make money even better . I personally started with iPhone 5s after hearing the price tag on the repair from Apple - so i did it myself :) Sadly now days it’s harder to replace even the battery.
