5:20 For those who wants to know if this Cable Tester can test Straight Through, Crossover and Rollover cable watch this, Straight Through first but no testing of Rollover Patch Cable. All wires 1 - 8 on the screen are straight so this means this is a Straight Through. 5:47 Crossover Patch Cable. You see the wires on the screen twisted this means this is a crossover cable that is good and working! If numbers of the wires does not appear on the screen then that wire inside the cable or RJ45 are broken and you need to replace that Ethernet Cable. This supports cat5e, cat6, cat6a, cat7, power cable( 4+2 lan cable, 8+2 lan cable), Tel cable, Coax cable tracking and testing.

in NF-8601S there is an option "ping > configure > auto-obtain" and there it can detect DHCP and later on you can ping any device on the network (there's a manual option as well)

How do I test my cat5 cables with the terminators ? I bought the red one with the 8 terminators , im trying to find what’s wrong with my cat5 cables but it’s not showing anything.

no idea, i thing that you have to have lan cable longer than 10m and that it will auto calibrate itself
