I am so glad i found your channel! I love a good food adventure and you have sent me off on one to try. I HAVE to try to dehydrate cooked rice and noodles. I want to get a freeze dryer too. Ok and I want to try that pasta sauce idea too! Ugh so many good ideas! Any of the starches would thicken it but how about dehydrated beans that you grind up. Potatoes also could be ground into a power and probably thicken it? Other than that less water? This was so much fun. Thank you for sharing. I cant wait for part 2!!

Ha that's amazing thank you! I'm editing part 2 right now, hopefully next week unless I get done sooner!😂 I will give potatoes a go, they might work well as a thickener, I have some dried leeks too,.I'll try a potato and leek soup! We did try with "raw" rice and pasta but it really needs a rolling boil to cook it then dehydrated and it will rehydrate well as instant rice 😁 I love a good adventure too, will try not weird and wonderful things! Thank you for watching!🩷

Such a great video. This is something I am trying to do too. Did the cheese sauce work out please?

I actually still have it in the dehydrator, I will check it when I get home and update! Last time I looked at it it was very dehydrated just oily. I think it's likely to go rancid quicker. I think freeze drying it would work better but we don't have a freeze dryer, they're super expensive and huge!!!😅 Thank you for watching! 🩷

Thickener? Instant mash. Doesn't need cooking through like cornflour. Literally stopped video at 20 mins to comment... But if this works you will revolutionise my kids packed lunches!!

Ha I will give it a go!! I bought some instant mash actually to see how it worked but haven't tried it yet! It's very much an experiment right now but we are learning! The meals in a jar warmed up in the slow cooker (next week's video) are working really well too!😅 Thank you for watching, hope they enjoy their lunches!🩷
