Quick Morning Ride to Work【Zontes 125 G1】

My first video riding my Zontes G1 to work.
Here you can have a glimpse of the G1 riding on various type of roads including freeway and city.
Bike is still on the first km's and i'm still a beginner, so sorry if it looks boring.
Sorry for the baffled and windy sound as it was recorded directly on the gopro and also sorry for the quality as my gopro only has Superview and 60fps at 720p (i upscaled to 1080p), but i will be testing different resolutions in the future and maybe get a new camera, who knows. Anyways, hope you enjoy, let me know if you want more videos like these :)

Eheh thanks ;) yeah, the bike isn’t really something that thrilling when it comes to power, but surely feels refined and steady for what it is, it feels like a bigger bike and has surprisingly good lower end power, it’s a good chill-machine ahah :)

are you happy with it?? 0-100km/h? EDIT: I have the zontes 125 u for 6 months now and done with it 12k km. I love it, i haven't got any problems and i recommand you guys this motorcycle! I got 130km/h maxx on downhill and on flat 118km/h with passanger. EDIT 11.2023: The bike is at 37.000 Km and still run everyday by my younger brother.

So far, yes, I’m still learning new things about it every day, and apart for the need for torque (which is normal in all these bike) it’s super fun to play with :) I didn’t do a 0-100 yet but will soon feature it in my “long term ownership” review video I’m about to do.

Not alot. Even in eco mode it'll do 600miles on one tank of fuel if ridden lightly. It has a 20 liter tank

Hey mate, I’ve got mine with the alloys. The spoked ones are good for offroad and stuff but.. this isn’t really an offroad bike and 300€ more for that.. meh, didn’t find it justifiable for me at the time :)

Se a mota ainda està na phase de ter que fazer um premeiro serviço, penso que depois ela ira dar um bocado mais. Se eu nao tivesse comprado um F.B Mondial Hps, seria provavelmente a Zontes que pegava se elle jà estivesse a venda (chegei por vez um modelo todo em preto, linda maquina com grande qualidade de contruçao ) Saudaçoes da Suiça ( e brevement vou fazez igual quando tiver uma action cam como dever ser lol )

É sem dúvida uma boa mota, mas a HPS também é muito bonita! Gostaria um dia de experimentar uma :) entretanto a minha Zontes já fez a primeira manutenção por esta altura e sinceramente ganhou muito mais resposta e força, já a velocidade máxima mantém-se nos 131kmh, mas já é bastante para uma 125cc ;)

​@@DaveButtonz Em geral toda 125cc com potencia proxima do maximo chegam entre 110 - 115 km/h ( velocidade GPS ) mas no meu caso, eu evito auto estradas, para mim andar a mas de 80 parece que vou rapido de mais lol ( e por emquanto é so para uso occasional por é impossivel utilizar uma mota ao ano por aqui ^_^ )

@@Rycka1 pois, eu apenas faço quando tem mesmo que ser, mas no caso do caminho para o trabalho tenho vários caminhos possíveis mas literalmente todos incluem um pouco de via rápida, por isso acabo por não ter muita hipótese.. mas olha que ela nem se porta mal, desde que não haja muita subida e/ou vento claro.. :P

Thanks mate 🙏. Well, gearbox tops at 131kph but on the flat the max i reach is around 120-122 (on good weather), with with i stay around 115, but im a bit on the heavy side (95kg) which doesn’t help much ;)

Hello, I have the same bike and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade it. Have you tried to change the exhaust ? To gain more power.

I haven’t, but there are some exhausts made for this bike that are said to give the bike 2 or 3 more hp, but honestly, apart from the look and the sound, I don’t think the performance would be noticeable. But what you can do is, either change the engines sprocket in order to get more acceleration or more top speed, but doing so will always affect the other feature, more acceleration will reduce your top speed and vice versa.

On flat it can do 120, 125 tops, depending on the weight.

Why there is a “check engine” light on? Is it true that this is a common problem of these motorcycles?

Yes, in this new 125cc models of Zontes there is this "issue" with a sensor from the exhaust that triggers the engine check light. It happens with almost every bike but it doesn't actually change or damage anything on the bike, is just a false alarm but stays on until you put it for service.

No problem! Aparently yeah, from what i know in some cases it only triggers once and after turning it of it wont happen anymore, in other cases there’s a recall happening to replace the sensor, but so far nothing major has happened so im ok with it :)

Hey. Im thinking about doing a video qith my thoughts about it soon, but it will be just my opinion on the experience so far with it as I can’t compare with anything else because its my first bike. But overall i can say it’s really really good overall for a beginner bike, really easy to handle and decent amount of power for city use :)

O mapa da ecu tem a temperatura da China, e não da Europa. Mudando o mapa, resolve o problema. No meu caso também tinha a sonda lambda com defeito de frabrico

Sim, também já tinha lido que seria algo parecido, no entanto desde que fiz a revisão só apareceu uma vez e depois foi-se sozinha, e até agora está tudo ok :) se voltar a aparecer logo se vê, mas entretanto penso que o recall já cá tenha chegado também.

Somos vizinhos então eheh. Esta mota é impecável para o dia-a-dia, já conto com 1500kms feitos e cada vez noto mais o motor a abrir, claro que para subir o Monsanto não é fácil, mas eu também peso um bocadinho, mas de resto, para andar no trânsito é um mimo e uma diversão e bastante económica :)

Boas. Sinceramente não noto muito, a verdade é que é um monocilindo e aí não há milagres, mas do que tenho visto este é bastante calminho nesse aspecto, e até hoje isso nunca foi um factor que me incomodasse :)

Obrigado! Está nos meus planos fazer uns vídeos com comentários e eventualmente uma review da G1, só ainda estou a tratar de arranjar o material para o micro. Quanto à luz, é um “bug” de um sensor que devido às baixas temperaturas ele dispara a luz, mas é so mesmo isso, não altera em nada o funcionamento da mota, ja andam a verificar isso :) Abraço!

@@emanuelalves7037 É tranquilo, o intuito de colocar os meus videos é mesmo para dar ideia a quem está indeciso, pois são modelos muito recentes e ainda não existem tantos testemunhos pessoais quanto isso, as reviews técnicas pouco transmitem que não seja o obvio. Mas sinceramente ficas muito bem servido, até agora o motor parece ter garra e uma sonoridade bastante interessante, e quanto á G1 vs U1, tem atenção á altura do assento, a G1 anunciam 790mm no site mas na realidade é mais que isso (830mm) e olha que faz uma diferença tremenda ;) mas nada como ires a uma loja e sentares-te numa e noutra.

Hey there. Yeah, this is a common situation in this new engine, mine got deleted on the first maintenance but it appeared back 2 days after, but then all of a sudden it just disappeared.. and for now i'm all good with it :)
