Quick neck reset and fretboard level, and never removing the strings!

Old Harmony acoustics almost always have high action, and with non adjustable truss rods and bridges that have been carved down to the limit, it’s hard to save them with out costly neck-resets, refrets, fretboard leveling, bridge reduction or some combo of all four. Over the years I’ve figured out how to save these with minor, let’s call it “out-patient surgery”. This one was re-built in one day and I never removed the strings! #dipintoguitars #extremeguitarrepair #harmonyguitars

First time watching your videos. In high school, I had a band with my buddies. One was left-handed, our drummer. He really wanted to learn guitar. I thought him to play, upside down on a right-handed Strat. He caught on and still plays that way to this day. As a benefit, I became a better player too!

Great to see people developing their own repair techniques. Have you tried the clamp and steam neck reset for cheaper guitars? It has worked for me every time except for once.

The mach 4 prototype in the back looks interesting ! Any story about is inception?

That one was handmade in 1999. It is the 5th Mach 4 ever made. These early models were neck-thru body and had Bill Laurence pickups with fancy foil inserts.

Is the guitar playing sort of inverted? You're playing with the bass strings down below the trebles, Hendrix-style, right?

Yes, but Hendrix rarely played like this, only when borrowing a righty guitar, same with me, just out of necessity, it’s actually not uncommon among lefties
