This time, I visited Michelin first starred Japanese soba noodles restaurant Tamawarai in Harajuku.
This is the best soba noodles restaurant in Tokyo! and 2nd place in Japan!
It's really famous shop and its soba was so tasty, it was amzing!!
If you love soba noodles, this is the one you must try!!
However, I'm not going there anymore becauase.....

Hey iNok, nice job on the video. I understand your view on this restaurant, it is definitely more of an experience for soba enthusiasts or tourists. I went to a famous soba restaurant in Kyoto and waited almost an hour despite showing up before they even opened! The line was very long and the food was delicious but I am sure it was all tourists and no locals.

Yes, it happens sometimes. I understand if many people make lines but for this restaurant only few people were waiting but still I need to wait.... they need to have better operations😰😰

Thanks for the video INok. I miss the old Harajuku station :-(. And I totally agree, waiting for 2 hours is not worth to get this soba dishes. Myself, I really dont like the cold soba noodles.

Thank you for the comment! Soba was really good but it was too hard to wait for long time for me... it's the problem however if it was quick enough, this restaurant would be amazingly busy!!!! that much this soba is soooooo good!

It looks really good, but you’re right. Two hours is way too long. There are bound to be loads of places where you can get food within half an hour that’s just as good.

True Inok some places in japan we went long lines like over 1 hour to wait are sometimes over rated and over priced in japan It’s funny like that!! I don’t care Michelin star If the restaurant has a long history and fair prices family business IM GOING!!!!!! 👍🏻

Hi inok, as others have said great video with the food and your thoughts. That is too long for something that simple, if it had been something really hard to cook or takes a long time to prepare then a wait might be ok, but then you book normally in advance so do not wait. Maybe the time was extended also because of the chef injury? They could probably increase the staff and keep the quality and serve a lot more people and make money. I guess the owner is happy with the current structure though so does not change. Things tend to change when passed to sons or daughters who have a new outlook etc etc. Have you considered taking a ferry trip and visiting the northern island and doing food up there? Ferry trips get lots of views too and of course the ferry meal ... All the best.

I completely I agree with your opinions, they are satisfied their style because it's his own restaurant!! A shop owner doesn't care about the rating as well as he makes his soba noodles in his way!! but as a guest, it's too long 😭 I have never taken a trip with ferry... is it good for enjoy the time and food??

never trust a tire company to recommend food, maybe Michelin should recommend chewing gum as it is made of rubber
