Hey man you're one of the only people i can find who owns one of these bikes. Im really hoping you can answer a couple questions for me. Is the mid range really that bad? Is it bad in comparison to like a 1000cc sports bike or bad compared to like a mt09. How does it handle on tight mountain roads if you have been on any usually top speed of like 45mph. Do you plan on getting an exhaust and tune, can really make the mid range dip not as bad Also I'm not sure what other bikes you have ridden but can you maybe put it in a quick tier list where it ranks for you among bikes you've ridden ? Ive watched most of your content on the streetfighter and these are the questions that have been eating me up inside as there's none around me available for a test ride just private sellers

Wow, that's a lot of questions. haha I will do my best to answer them: 1) The midrange is less than what you would expect for a 955cc twin. It's less than an MT09, but the reward is a top end hit that leaves the MT09 in its dust. The power is there, it's just in a higher portion of the midrange, so you adapt your riding style to it, and it rewards. 2) Handling? It corners like a cat on carpet. It's sublime in the handling department. It's a Panigale with taller wider bars that give you more leverage. Just think where you want to go, and it falls right in, very stable and nimble. 3) I will do an exhaust at some point, probably an aftermarket copy of an SC project or something for like $900, and then pay the dealer $500 to order and install an Up-Map for it, that way its covered by the Ducati 2 year warranty. 4) I have owned 35 bikes now, and another 13 for my wife... So, a lot. haha I have had bikes that are MUCH faster, more comfortable, etc... On the sexiness scale, its in the top tier with my other Ducati, Aprillia and some triumphs. Handling, also near the top. Performance is mid range. If you are coming from an R1, its gonna feel a lot slower... But how much performance do you need? Higher numbers are great for highway top speed runs and bragging rights. But on twisty roads, the mid power bikes like this, the MT09 and the Street Triple RS are potent weapons. It's very balanced and in truth, its all anyone needs., Whether you WANT more power, is up to you...

Omg mate you are an absolute legend you have no idea how much this sort of info means especially from someone so experienced. Everyone is comparing it to like r1's mt10's etc. my choices were between an mt09sp ktm890 duke r (but heard they have lots of issues) and the streetfighter v2. The only info or comments I can find are yeah compared to an s1000rr in a straight line it's not match. Like duh I could have told you that hahaha. I currently have an mt07 looking to upgrade at the end of the year. I hope you get the tune and exhaust done I've heard it completly changes that mid-top range. Would love to see a video on that. But yeah I wanted something more performance oriented as I don't have to commute on my bike ever it's purely a hobby for me with lots of spirited riding! Every bike I look at just has downfalls like mt09sp brakes apparently aren't that good and it's not really a super sporty bike. Ktm890 riddled with manufacturing problems but amazing otherwise and the Ducati with the "bad" Low range but otherwise incredible
