Quick Riffs - BURN - Deep Purple (Ritchie Blackmore). Guitar Lesson / Tutorial.

Hey all! Haven't done one of these quick riff videos in a few weeks. Short and to the point tutorials on how to play some of the greatest guitar riffs in classic rock history. Today we have a look at the awesome opening riff to Burn by Ritchie Blackmore and Deep Purple. His best IMHO.

For a bit of extra Ritchie flair I always play this as an index finger slide from the B-flat to the A. Makes me feel more god like :). Great track, riff solo, arpeggio. Well worth watching the California Jam version.

Richie Blackmore was an excellent guitarist, but he didn’t get along so well with other guitarists and didn’t get onto the Mount Rushmore of guitarist with Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. I love his work with Richie Blackmore’s Night.
