Yes, as I show in the video you have to change the midi channel output of your controller to match the track you want to play (I.e. the DX track is midi channel 10).

did u find a solution to add resampled or recorded stuff to a drum track? seems like these files are stuck inside the sample section.

You are totally correct unfortunately. There's currently no way to do that from the device. Hopefully they'll add this in a firmware update 🤞
