Quick set up Wood RV steps

I bought the plans and put it together. LOVE IT!!!!! Very sturdy well thought out. My wife had a knee replacement and hated the metal steps. I got the plans for 4 steps. After building it she could not believe how sturdy and safe it felt. I added a metal railing I bought at Camping World. If anyone needs a wider safer step this is your answer.

These are the best steps to make if you own an RV. My dog Guinness would NOT use the metal steps the RV comes with. In fact, he hurt himself and refused to ever use them again. We built these steps based on Wayne's instructions and have turned a very bad situation into an AWESOME one. Not only does Guinness love the steps my fiance and I have great confidence walking into our new RV. We are newbies to RV'ing and I too was challenged by the metal steps. Now, with Wayne's invention, we LOVE our RV even more. Thank you Wayne!!!!!!

Any ideas on how to add a handrail for those not so stable on their feet?

Elaine laRocque I have used hangers for electrical conduit installed on each side and use the conduit to slide into the hangers. it takes 4 hangers for each side 2 hangers for each leg of the handrail. Hope that helps.

Do you know how I can cover the back and sides of my RV steps so my small YorkiePoo won't crawl through when I'm trying to contain her around my camper with metal fencing?

Hello I am needing the measurements for these steps for my 5th wheel cam anyone please help me. I dont have alot of income and I take care of my disabled mother who has hard time getting up and down the very unsafe metal 5th wheel stairs and I planned on just building a set of regular stairs but that is so heavy to haul around and just me being the only perosn to lift it I was wanting to find a simple solution that I could just take apart and put together when I get ready and I seen these steps and this is perfect but I can't figure out the measurements exactly and I am very good at drawing and carpentry work but not so good with math. I need them done tomorrow I got all the wood I need for them already but what I am stuck on is the little cut outs and tabs what the exact measurements are so I can get them right snd not waist the expensive luber I just spent my last 100 bucks on grtting but then I couldn't get the measurements anywhere with out wanting me to pay for them and don't have the money to pay for a couple numbers that's all o need anyone thatnos able to help me please id be very grateful and God bless you. How are the steps actually held in place without screws?

It is the way they are built and the type material for the actual step boards. I have been selling the steps and the plans for years and never a complaint
