Quick Setup - In Detail

An in depth look at the Quick Set feature that allows you to configure an Aura without the use of a PC, all you need is your transmitter, and 'digital' receiver.
The actual setup process can be accomplished in just a few minutes.

NOTE: Firmware 1.4 alters the sequence slightly and the reversing is done BEFORE pulling the bind Plug. Refer to the FW1.4 instructions.
In firmware v1.1 - v1.3, the pilot set the Model Type, Sensor Orientation, and Master Gain functionality before pulling the bind plug. After pulling the bind plug, the pilot would then set the Control Surface directions and check the Sensor Direction by moving the aircraft.
In firmware v1.4, the pilot sets the Model Type, Sensor Orientation, Master Gain functionality, and Control Surface directions before pulling the bind plug. After pulling the bind plug, the servos are now disabled except for testing the Sensor Direction by moving the aircraft.
Jeti UDI can Auto-detect and to Quick Setup if the Jeti setup is set exactly per the recommendations in our Aura Wiki for Jeti Use. (Proper firmware, Flex's .jsn file, etc)

How do you change the directions of the surfaces in the Aura if your surfaces correct in the wrong direction when you do the sensor checks? That's a very important thing to know.

My throttle doesn’t work and my rudder stick to one side as soon as I bind and elevator barely moves

Agreed, as an FrSky user it's very frustrating when companies pander to Spektrum being the default, when that is really not the reality at all. Spektrum is the most unintuitive, pain in the butt that should never have been given the light of day.

Very informative video. I realize this is an old video, but I hope you can help me. I have a Radiomaster. It is Spektrum compatible. I think I need channel mapping for my radio. Can I assume that S1 is channel 1 and so on?

No, Aura Ports are not channels. They can be setup to be anything. This is why we do not call them Channel 1, 2, 3 or "Aileron, Elevator" etc. S1 = Servo 1 and so on. You would need to "Learn Transmitter" in the Aura Config Tool to learn the specifics of your radio, or seek support from Radiomaster on Channel Order, Channel Direction, and Channel Min/Max Movement, and make those settings match a more common radio system like Spektrum or Futaba.

A lot left out here. Did all this and nothing works.! I see only a green led and only an orange led. Nothing else! Geez! Also, holding ful throw does not change the control surface direction. What then?

This is frustrating.i installed a motion rc 3 axis stabilizer no problem. This video doesn’t help me a bit,consequently I disengaged the aura and fly without it.i have a futaba and I am in the dark.thanks I won’t use this damn this again

Video inutil de certo modo.Ainda nao encontrei nenhum video, nem explicaçao, como programar com Graupner radio Seria muito importante fazer um video pensando que aos utentes nao tem nenhum conhecimento. A explicaçao sim, essa seria de forma a dar todo o conhecimento que necesssitan . Passo a passoseria o ideal e numa conversaçao plausivel e com metodo. Para bem dos pprodutos que querem vender.
