Please continue doing miniatures. I might suggest Camo schemes/patterns for planes and tanks as potential future uses/hints for H&S Airbrushes.

I know I keep saying it, but every day is a school day - and I've been model making and painting since 1971/72, been lucky enough to be published and I've won the occasional prize (it's not really about competition for me, but therapy, but from time to time I was encouraged to enter events). The subtlety and the excellence of H&S airbrushes in skilled hands never ceases to amaze me.

Between these videos and the Poorhammer guys buying a high end H&S airbrush for their airbrush video and praising just how genuinely ridiculously good it is, I'm convinced these are the way to go for more detailed work. Though my $70 (NZD) Formula airbrush has served me well for basic airbrush work on miniatures, might need to trear myself when that new Infinity releases!

When are you going to be selling spare parts for the Ultra 2024?

I see no reason for parts unless you lost a part or drop it. Their to busy trying to get the new Infinity 2024 out which is behind based on what they said.

That reminds me. How do you do the “bubble back” technique on Ultra 2024? I’ve tried several approaches and nozzle makes it “tough”. So I mostly swizzle stir

Great to see Stephen back for some miniature painting. Alot of people say that an airbrush booth is an absolute must have, but i have noticed that you never use one in any of your videos. What are your thoughts on a spray booth, are they really needed?
@harderairbrush
@harderairbrush 3 ай бұрын
Controversial question, it seems ;-) of course, one will never be a bad thing! We don't use it for two reasons: firstly, we are fortunate to have a large, well ventilated studio and secondly, we ALWAYS use a spray out pot. Much of the airborne particulate created when airbrushing is done when cleaning, and the spray out pot comprehensively deals with this, as the exhaust on it is filtered. I think that if you don't have good ventilation in your workspace, then a booth is a very good idea. One way to check (slightly weird, but very useful) is to blow your nose after a painting session. If the contents are a human norm, all is good... if they are the colour of the model you just painted, get a booth and/ or a mask. Hope that helps!

I wanted to ask if there will be a 0.2mm head for the Ultra 2024, I have really been enjoying mine but now wanting more precision for different tasks and you don't currently sell anything other than the 0.4mm head.

@iggirodriguez8437 Ай бұрын
Hello Jacob, i believe its best you get the ultra, if you haven't had any experience with airbrush its a good overall and teaches you trigger control, the evo its great but best after getting comfortable with the prior model ! Hope this helps

Well done! What psi settings are you using? I've tried 20 psi and 50/50 mix on Vallejo model color and had some clogging issues.
@harderairbrush
@harderairbrush 3 ай бұрын
Normally around 25psi… it’s really no problem at all to thin more, if you wish… Model Color needs a little more than Model Air. Just watch your wetness - never allow the gloss to develop more than a satin finish whilst you’re painting and then you’ll never over apply… W Unless your spraying on a gloss coat, in which case, only go up to gloss!
